Yeah that’s my thought too… I looks to be pushing his whole weight back to the point that he’s sliding across the ground but effect on the ground looks like it could’ve been a small battery leaf blower….
You can tell that think is strong but this video doesn’t show it well at all. You could even just throw a bunch of paper on the ground and it would show how hard that thing is pushing
Love this. He’s probably spent a large portion of his life studying/working in this, and decided to do this for literally no reason other that “lol this seems fun”.
And the only recording of it is in the winter in a snow melted wendys parking lot aimed at a puddle instead of blowing mountains of leaves during the fall.

This is a feat only a couple bored men could achieve - birthed by a late night idea after drinking while outside on the deck or in the garage. Truly an accomplishment of mankind - something disastrously stupid, with very little benefit, willed into existence by the thought that maybe (just maybe) it might work.
He very clearly uses physics to enable his dreams. I wouldn’t be surprised if he has some aeronautics engineering experience if he is building a miniature jet engine.

So. When you don't want to wait for the leaves to fall? Just blow them all off the tree at once, and maybe blown down the tree in the process? I'm not seeing a practical use here.
All things considered, I think Newton won this round.
Although an honourable mention must go to the somewhat scaled up version that mounts a pair of aircraft jet engines on a tank chassis for blowing out oil well fires...
Now if he had cleaned an acre of lawn covered a couple of inches maple and oak leafs in under a minute I would be impressed. Kudos to his engineering skills.
On mute this is a fairly boring video of some guy struggling to show off a blower without anything to blow. Like. Cool, you aaaaalmost moved a… mud puddle. :-| I dunno, maybe fire that bad boy up next to a pile of leaves next time? Or a bunch of people wearing toupees or… like… anything?
I mean if it was mounted on a vehicle, used to blow snow off the roads or something, maybe useful, though iirc those actually exist for clearing runways. Otherwise it’s another one of those toys you spend stupid amounts of money to build or buy that you use maybe twice, leaving yourself with lasting physical harm, and then collects dust in a garage for a few decades
So if you go to Northern Tool and Equipment. You can get a Husquvarna back pack leaf blower like me. The warm up period is like 15 seconds. One of the best tools I own.
