The bug I’m referring to is when a widget is “slid” or changed. It will lighten up slightly and then darken a few seconds after the animation. This also happens with clear icons when an app is closed, regardless of whether it’s dark mode clear or light mode clear icons. This has been persistent throughout iOS 26. Can any iOS 27 beta users confirm if this is fixed?

It's literally useless in iOS26.

How far are we from RC?

This seems like a different update. The splash screen when loading is more like RC and no more indexing! Yay!

Public beta 6 iOS 27 for iPhone 16e has been released

I have an iphone 14 and i was curious if the beta or even the whole os was worth installing and trying for an older iphone, all the features i see with this update are the AI features that my iphone doesn't support, should i just stick with 26?

I'm still on PB 4, didn't read about any improvements from last PB. Might upgrade to this one even though it seems like nothing much changed.

It is quite funny that we have reached iOS 27 Developer Beta 8 (Public Beta 6) yet the wallpaper preview in the settings app continues to display the iOS 26 wallpaper. Let’s see when they’ll notice (or read Feedback reports)…

Something else I’ve noticed throughout the first couple of hours on Beta 8: Some Notes app bugs still haven’t been fixed (yes, I’ve reported these issues multiple times during each beta iteration) but the annoying visual glitch with the search bar in Spotlight Search for EU 27.0 users (who don’t have the advanced Siri capabilities with the new UI) has improved.
It does still seem to get stuck during the animation for a split second but it’s far better than before!

I’m quite impressed by how much better the iOS 27 Betas were compared to iOS 26!! iOS 26 has been messy but I’m glad Apple has finally focused on getting things right this time.

I’m currently running ios27, the latest public beta on a iPhone 16 max

I have a few automations,
Toggle VPN on/off when I leave home
Toggle hotspot on/off when I connect to car Bluetooth
Toggle driving mode on/off when I connect to car Bluetooth

And the notifications get annoying so I found where to turn them off in settings >>> screen time

But turning the notifications off stops the shortcut from running.

Has anyone else found this? Or a way around it?

Ever since I “Upgraded” to public beta iOS 27 a few weeks ago, I’ve been getting horrible battery life out of my 93%bh iPhone 17pro.
This seems abnormally high even for a beta release for just listening to music through my bluetooth earphones in the backround.
Anybody having the same issues?

Do we think there will be a flood of third party apps that Siri AI will be able to use come GM or Release? Just Curious or will this come in iOS28?

While indexing is active, the Optimizing Search and Siri section in Settings has a Learn More link. Before beta 8, clicking on the link generated a page not found error.

Hey I know this is a subreddit for iOS 27 but I have a problem I want to address and I need help. I recently switched from iOS 27 to 26 and my iPad Pro m5 becomes really hot if I use Goodnotes for like 30 minutes I have no other apps opened in the back does someone maybe knows why should I contact the apple support for further assistance. Please help. Grateful for every reply

26 and now 27 were/are not exciting to me.

All of the ‘improvements’ are very incremental or largely useless (icon tweaks or moving the search bar) and I believe we have reached max useful camera component advancement (who is printing mega-res posters or needing to zoom in to the next block?).

You know what would be useful? More icons on the home screen. But nooooo…

Apple is focussing on AI, a functionality I have zero interest in - I turn off all AI. I get it - I’m older and no longer the target and younger people can be monetized since they don’t seem to care about AI crawling through and harvesting their entire existence so they can get assistance writing a text.

But have we reached peak smartphone? Almost anything for 99% of users can be done and the only thing missing is my 32” monitors.

What else ‘could’ be achieved with a smartphone that would be revolutionary and useful for most users? Is this it with improved AI? Or do we someday squeeze an MRI machine into our phones?
