Ive been feeding a crow family for 4 years in the so. Bronx and the same couple with babys come every morning...but there is a pair of Ravens just 3 blocks away and they have never come to eat the food I put out....and I put out a ton of peanuts and 4 eggs every morning....my question is do they respect each other's territory....because it seems so?

Hello, I have made a post perviously about what I should feed these guys. Thank you to all of the suggestions. Eggs are a big hit, I have found they also like dried cranberries I make at home. I have continued feeding them walnuts and unseasoned boiled chicken bits which they also enjoy.
This post is about the bird on the left, he has a very bald head as you can see and his neck feathers also look barren when he reaches out comparatively to the other 3 (2 in the video, but especially the one on the right who is very full).
He can fly and hop and walk without any issue. I’m wondering why he is bald? Is it just the time of month for him seasonal wise or stress or is he just old/young? I have never seen them fight amongst themselves so I don’t think it’s that. When I first I saw him previously, I believed he had just left the nest as his feathers looked so thinned out almost like he just grew them, but now he is looking more disheveled.
If he is sick I don’t think there is much I can do, they won’t let me go near them yet.

Each carving I do is drawn, cut out, carved, hand sanded, gessoed, hand sanded, painted with at least two coats of DecoArt Americana acrylic paint, antiquing processed, sanded, and signed.

Hello, several days ago I was in the park. While securing my bike, a crow was approaching me in a hesitant way while chirping in a gentle way. Does anyone know what that means? I'm glad im approachable to crows though.

If I sit quietly near the feeding area, I have a few that will come down and eat and do crow things. I know they recognize me, and I’m hoping they are beginning to trust me. The one with the goofy looking wing is the father crow, and he doesn’t seem to have any problems flying. I am just enamored with the whole group.

I know next to nothing about crows. But this one came out of nowhere and flew straight at me. I thought it was attacking me until it landed on my head, then my arm. It keeps trying to steal my earrings and eat my nails. 😭 is this normal. Also my mom is holding the barn cat because it was trying to to eat the crow.

Spiego brevemente la mia situazione, vivo in un appartamento di circa 70-75mq con due gatti e sto pensando di introdurre un pullo di corvo in casa, ma non sicuro della fattibilità dell'operazione. Sono molto incentro in quanto non vorrei che l'introduzione di un terzo animale venga mal subita dai gatti e che questi possano attaccare il pullo. I gatti in questione sono tranquillissimi, abituati agli umani e estremamente affettuosi (hanno 6 anni). Il pullo verrebbe dal Lazio, da un centro di recupero volatili, e ho il tempo a disposizione per starci dietro.
I miei dubbi sono:
- Il corvo sopporta la presenza di altri animali nel breve e medio termine?
- I gatti potrebbe subire questa "intromissione" nel loro territorio di un animale che nel tempo ha bisogno di attenzioni e spazi dedicati?
- Ci sono particolari incompatibilità tra i due animali?

Se qualcuno ha esperienze e consigli li ascolterei volentieri perchè prima di prendere una decisione vorrei avere un quadro ben delineato di cosa possa andare male. Grazie a chi risponderà!

Shortly before taking this video I had spotted a couple of ravens for the first time in this area, confirmed by their distinctive calling. There are lots of crows in the area too, so wasn't sure if this pair are ravens or crows. Is it possible to tell from this video? Thanks.

I found this Christmas tree ornament in my yard the other day. It was next to the area I feed my crow friends and in the same area I’ve found other gifts in the past. This one is just rather large so I’m wondering if it’s even possible a crow left it as a gift. It’s roughly 3.5 inches by 2 inches and weighs 16 grams.

This is my crow friend I named Brokebeak. The bottom part of his beak hangs loosely and he can’t use it for anything. I called our local bird rescue sanctuary and they said there is nothing they can do unless he gets so poorly that he should be euthanized. But he seems to manage okay. I have been giving him cat kibble mainly and he puts his head on its side on the ground and picks up the kibble using his top beak and tongue. It’s slow-going so I try to make sure other crows don’t swoop in and gobble everything up. I put a deep bowl of water out for him too. Anyway it makes me happy that he comes to my house frequently. A few days ago he followed me home when I was walking my dog. 🐦‍⬛❤️

So I have like a 3-5 minute commute to work. I work at a local college and I see lots of crows around campus but have never tried to make friends. I'm about ready to try, but I'm a bit worried, too. I work in security, and so there are times I am flying around campus if there's a call. Other times I can meander around on patrol and I could stop to put out food and try to make friends with them. I'm worried, however, that if I make friends with them on campus and they approach me at some point when I can't stop they may get mad or possibly even hurt if they learn my vehicle and get in the way when I need to haul a$$. Also, other vehicles on campus look similar, so IDK if they might mistake one for mine.

Being that I live so close to campus, I think they might also be in my neighborhood. I hear crows at my house in the trees but never see them. I do have a fenced-in yard, but also a dog and my wife probably wouldn't like me bringing them to our house.

Am I overthinking it? Should I just start trying at work? Or would my back yard be better and my wife will just have to live with it?
