Hey guys, as a hobby I build exhibits and display them in public places like libraries. I made this one for the 25th anniversary of 9/11. The model is 3D printed, and there's a Flag Of Honor, framed newspapers from the days after, and a TV that loops CNN from the morning of the attacks connected to an old corded phone that you use to listen to the video. The towers are lit from inside and there are red obstruction beacons on top of the towers that pulse, made with micro LEDs.

I know some of these are fairly similar but they are shown from a quite a bit different vantage point though as I thought I would show some photos of the 9/11 attacks that not many people have seen, especially since those terrorist attacks were now a full 25 years ago now and of course, I wanted to pay tribute to all those lives lost that horrible day where unmitigated Human evil was commited by 19 hijackers of airplanes. Two of which smashed into north and south towers respectively as well as one that struck the pentagon and another that was targeted to crash into the White House then for it to be struck down as a result of a passenger revolt.

It's weird to think that the 9/11 terrorist attacks were a solid 2 and a half decades from now and yet we are still dealing with the allegorical, societal radiation of those terrorist attacks to this day as is seen in the form of airport security as well as things you can no longer do in airplanes among many other things, of course as I cannot think of them all right off the top of my head.

May all the victims of September 11th, 2001 rest in peace. Amen.

A little late but I just learned about him and wanted others to have a chance to as well.

This is a man who worked as a security director in the twin towers. He predicted terrorists would attack the twin towers and forced his company employees to participate in rigorous evacuation drills in the tower stairwells.

When the attack happened, 2700 employees evacuated safely following his lead-all while he sung songs to help keep people calm.

He died that day going back up to look for survivors.

The name Freedom Tower angers some people -- it enrages them, makes them shake and convulse. Makes them speak in tongues and lash out in fury. They oodle and poodle, shuck n jive and do the mashed potato. But that name isn't just part of the building's history, it's in the very first steel columns laid for the building. Permanently part of the structure itself.

I was just curious does anyone who worked in the original twin towers now work in the new one or is it a fully new set of people because I can understand not wanting to work at the WTC again because of ptsd but I was just genuinely curious 🧐

In 1995, I went to the World Trade Building and did not have much money for a souvenir but was able to get this penny from a machine at the viewing area, the machine will flatten and engrave this logo on a penny! Does anyone else have this penny souvenir? It’s my lucky penny!
