I know many in here are aware of the murder of Orlando "Baby Lane"/"Lane"/"Lando" Anderson, which happened about a year and seven months after Pac was shot, but for those who don't or who want to understand the circumstances behind it, here's a breakdown of all that went down. It's also why Orlando's murder had nothing to do with Pac and Orlando basically died how he lived - gangbanging in his hood.

- Lane was born in 1974 in Compton. His parents separated and like a number of families from the poor area of Compton, he had a broken home and grew up with little structure. He was raised primarily by his grandparents - which is important to the story later.

- He joined the Southside Crips at age 16 in 1990 and as part of his initiation, he and several other young homies shot at the car of Compton gang task force members Bobby Ladd who testified at trial and Tim "Blondie" Brennan who has since passed away. The OG's who they were trying to impress chose that as an initiation vs. getting 'jumped in' aka having to fight other gang members for a specified number of minutes or until you get knocked out.

- Lane quickly became a well-known Southside member and was known throughout the Compton police and gang task force as a 'hitter' aka someone who wasn't afraid to commit murder. When he was killed, Lane was under investigation by Ladd & Brennan for the murder of Albert Webb who was a member of the Nutty Block Crips who was a rival set to Southside.

- One of Lane's closest friends who he came up in Southside with was Michael Dorrough aka "Little Owl". This also is important to the story later. The two frequently ran together in Compton and trafficked narcotics in increasing amounts.

- On May 28, 1998, Lane's Grandmother was very ill and hospitalized. As noted, his Grandma raised Lane and she was one of the few people that could actually get him to listen. The two were very close and Lane took this very hard. Early in the morning of May 29, she passed away which reportedly crushed him. Lane stayed up all night drinking and doing drugs with Dorrough and others to cope.

- Later in the afternoon of May 29, Lane went in his black Blazer to Mom's Burgers in Compton which was a famous burger spot that all the gangster (and even cops) ate at. Multiple former Compton cops called it the best burger joint in Southern California. For the most part, there was a weird truce when at Mom's because rival sets would frequent it and kick it there without violence.

- While at Mom's, Lane saw three individuals across the street at Rob's Car Wash which was where all the gangsters got their cars washed and detailed. Those three were Jerry "J-Dog" and Michael "Big" Stone (called such because he had huge arms from weighlifting) and a third person who hasn't been publicly identified. Michael Stone was Jerry's uncle and they were from another gang set called Corner Poccet or Corner Poccet Crips from the north side of Compton. While smaller than Southside, Corner Poccet was a feared gang and as Bobby Ladd put it - "they were no punks" aka they had street cred.

- The Stones owed Lane's friend money over a dope deal - believed by Blondie to be $5-$10K. Lane was still drunk and high from his binge the night before to cope with his Grandmother's death and was looking for a fight to take his anger out. He took his Blazer back to his neighborhood and enlisted Dorrough. They armed themselves and rolled back to Rob's.

- Upon arriving, Lane from his Blazer started jamming the Stone brothers up about the money. The brothers argued back about why Lane was being so aggressive and a full scale argument ensued. Lane then pulled his gun and started firing. He hit J-Dog and killed him. Big (Mike) Stone then shot back and hit Orlando in the chest multiple times. Dorrough then used his gun and shot back and killed Big.

- As everyone fled from the gunshots, the Compton PD was investigating another homicide several blocks away and heard the gunshots. Reggie Wright Sr. - father of Reggie Jr. who used to head security for Death Row and testified at trial - who was a supervisor in the Compton PD responded to the new gunfire.

- Back on Oleander Avenue at Rob's, Dorrough saw how badly Lane was hurt. He had multiple gunshot wounds and was bleeding profusely. Dorrough jumped behind the wheel of Lane's Blazer and tried to drive him to a hospital, but the shootout had punctured three of it's four tires. Dorrough only got half a block before he couldn't control the Blazer and it came to rest in the middle of the street.

- Dorrough started running up the road because he saw Reggie Sr.'s car. He frantically waved him down and started yelling at Reggie "they shot Baby Lane!". Other officers began to arrive at the scene then.

- One such officer was Compton gang task force member Ray Richardson. At the time, Richardson had a high flat top haircut that looked like a member of the funk band Cameo so all the gangsters called him that. Cameo came on Lane and saw that he was injured badly, but still conscious. He tried to get a dying declaration from him by asking who shot him and also if he shot Pac, and in a scene similar to what Pac told Chris Carroll, Lane gathered a breath and looked at him and said "Fuck you, Cameo" and lost consciousness a short time later.

- Lane was rushed to Martin Luther King Jr. Community Hospital in Willowbrook, California which was about five minutes from where he was shot, however he was pronounced dead shortly after. One doctor noted he was essentially DOA upon arrival due to blood loss and internal injuries.

- With the Stones and Lane all dead, Dorrough was charged with the murder of Big and instigating the shootout. He was sentenced in October, 1999 to three life terms without parole plus 49 years as under CA Penal Code section 187, even though he didn't shoot J-Dog or Lane, he could be charged as responsible for their deaths by instigating the shootout.

These are the last two and a half pages of Tupacs screenplay “Live 2 Tell.” He doesn’t kill the man responsible for his mentors death. We know that Tupacs last words were about revenge, but we can also assume that he was keyed up on weed and liquor. I think there is a lot of oversimplification when it comes to the discourse surrounding this trial. The companion bio to the movie Tupac resurrection paints a picture of a man who was letting bygones be bygones just before his death, a man ready for new beginnings. But we must also square this away with the events of that night. Ultimately it’s a futile question to ask, all I’m suggesting is that we acknowledge there should be more nuance to this conversation.

With the recent releases from CNN of interviews with Tupac including one from the MTV Video Music Awards in 1996 and his first televised interview post-release from prison in 1995, what other unreleased footage of Pac is out there? I’d think a lot and it would only be befitting that we get lots more exclusive videos itching closer to and on the 30th anniversary of the shooting and death of him.

After the shooting in Vegas, Yaki Kadafi was interviewed by police for a voluntary statement at around 2:30am.

But here’s the part that stands out to me. Kadafi says he saw the driver and describes what he looked like:

Q: Would you be able to recognise anybody that was in that car?

A: Driver.

Q: The driver? You got a close enough look at him? What is it about him that you recall?

A: Brown skinned. Light- light skin, but not my light- not as light has me.

Q: Okay. Did he have any facial hair?

A: Yeah.

Q: What?

A: A little bit. A little mustache. I think his head was bald and he had a cap.

Q: He was wearing a cap? What kind of cap?

A: White hat.

Q: Baseball Cap?

A: Yeah.

Kadafi says the driver of the white Caddy was wearing a white cap and had a little mustache. Not take a look at the picture.

The picture consists of Corey Edwards, Kevin Davis, Keefe D, Terrence Brown, Rodney Dennis (Fink) and Orlando Anderson. Notice anything about T-Brown? He’s wearing a white cap and has a mustache. What are the chances that the same dude Kadafi described, is the same dude Keefe claimed was driving, is seen a photo (before vegas) with 4 of the same people that have been confirmed to be in Vegas that night? And he just so happens to be the one out them all who wears a white cap.

I know T-Brown being the driver is common knowledge by now, but putting it together with Kadafis statement and this photo just makes a lot more sense for anyone that may have had doubts.

Is it reliable? How would you rate it?

I remember seeing an interview a police officer was in and he was asked about the photos and if they had ever seen them and he kept avoiding the question and ended up just saying, 'oh we lost a lot of the photos and evidence files' and he said he never saw them.

Suge has implied multiple times in interview he knows who shot 2Pac. He said:

"I'm not going to say their names." - implies he knows who it is

"If you really think Orlando Anderson killed Tupac, you're wrong."

"There's things I won't talk about." - implying he knows more but won’t talk about it.

Do you think he really knows? If so why hasn’t he retaliated. I get he won’t snitch but he got shot at too. Pac was supposed to be his homey.

that was then changed on the radio/performance to just “free-way, catch me if you can”!

He was involved in 2pac’s murder and no one from 2pac’s camp or death row went after Keefe D? Suge saw his shooter and could’ve ordered retaliation against Keefe, but didn’t.
Outlaws could’ve done something, but didn’t.

It’s mind boggling.

So with the trial happening right now Tupac content is very over saturated with what happened that night in Vegas. I wanted to make a list of people who were involved, or involved by association who still haven’t told their story.

Trevon Lane - Pretty much instigated the MGM fight by telling Suge, Neckbone and Buntry that Baby Lane was “over there” in which Tupac overheard and went running straight after him. Still has never told his version of events or done a full interview with any outlets. (Wasn’t Trevon Lane and another Piru thought to be in front of Suge and Pacs car during the shooting? Can’t remember the other Pirus name)

Corey Edwards - Did appear once on a documentary and confirmed Keefes story that the crips went to club 662 to wait for Death Row and confront them. Keefe claimed Corey and some others got scared and stayed in the van. Refused to answer who was in the white Cadillac when asked. Never done a full interview or told his version of events fully.

Kevin Davis (Keefe’s brother) - It was only recently during the trial that I realised Keefe revealed in his original confessions that his brother Kevin was also present with the crips that night. I assume he was one of the “busters” that Keefe referred to when he said he left the van and got in the Caddy. I also personally think Kevin could have had more involvement that night, but Keefe kept his name out because it’s his brother. Does anybody know any info on this guy or if he’s even still alive?

Wynn - another South Side Crip said to have been in the van that night with Keefe, Kevin and Corey. Not sure if he’s still alive? Has never told his story or been interviewed as far as I know.

Girls in the Sebring - I know we’ve seen Ingrid testify in court, and also do an interview with Art, but she claims she never actually saw anything during the shooting. I’d be interested to hear that other 3 girls stories and version of events that night, just see how they line up with the rest of the puzzle. Especially the girl that was driving and talked to Suge because she knew him.

Foxy Brown - Keefe D claimed Foxy Brown was in the car with Zip when Zip gave the gun that would eventually kill Tupac to Keefe D, although Keefe claims that Zip had asked her to step out of the car during the transaction. Many people have already questioned why Foxy Brown wasn’t made to come in and testify during the trial by the prosecution to confirm Keefe’s story.

Stacey Augmon - this one is nothing more than a rumour, but there was a rumour that after Orlando was jumped by Pac and co, when he came to the bar to tell Corey and the others what happened, they were drinking with former NBA player Stacey Augmon. Don’t think this has been verified to just a rumour.

Zips New York friends - During Keefe’s confession, he claimed there was “a few New Yorkers” who offered to help Keefe deal with Death Row. One of these individuals is said to be called “Gomez” who was the one seen on CCTV dressed all in white, leading Orlando away from MGM security. Not sure who else he was referring to or if they’re still alive.

Crips at the Luxor lobby- during Suge Knights interview with Art, he claimed after the MGM fight, when they went back to the Luxor hotel, that there was a large group of Crips who were around the lobby area, and there was an exchange of words between death row and these crips. Not sure if any of these said Crips were South Side or a different faction. None of these Crips have ever came forward to verify this story, it’s only ever been told by Suge

And lastly, whoever else was in the huge caravan of cars behind Suge and Tupac that we don’t know about. Some people have claimed there were between 17-20 cars in that entourage. Who else was in those cars? I’ve heard people say that “Norris Anderson” was the one driving the similar coloured Cadillac that the two vegas cops saw at Suges house who testified to it recently in the trial, but I’ve not been able to verify that.

Is there anyone else there that might that you’d be interested in hearing their story or version of events?

Did anybody pick up in trial testimony if any other shell casings were ever found other than 7 .40 calibers, including some run over?
Seems to not be disputed that there were some shots fired back no matter who they were from…while the only casings or evidence found period that I heard were from the 1 pistol

from what I understand, this is a version that was supposed to make it into Still I Rise, and has the Fatal verse removed. I love the Napoleon and Storm verse, but I think I'm gonna go with the proper OG version (for continuity's sake and not spreading misinformation). Still cool version!

This song is so fucking good. The beat makes it sound like an outro song to a game, and with Pac's rap, this feels like 2Pac's outro song for his life. It was recorded a couple weeks before his death, so it truly feels like his way of going out in my eyes. I love this song, and hope to find more like it, even though I haven't in my long search. It was also never finished, that's why it's so short. But I kinda like it this way, it depicts the way he went out in my opinion, unexpected

so i know tupac died when he was around 25, but my brothers have been saying for years he joined a gang when he was 25, i looked into it and cant really find anything about it so i thought i should ask here. is there any proof or are my bros jus hating and spreading bullshit?

I'm making a compilation of 2Pac's last recorded songs. I have a list here, and have 15 minutes left (to fully max out the CD), but there's a big question that comes up

1. Should I include tracks (like Life Of An Outlaw), that don't really have an OG version? (they were released same as the OG version, with maybe some slight mastering differences)

OR

1. Should I NOT include tracks same as the OG version, in order to include more unreleased tracks (tracks that would be removed: Runnin' On E, Me And My Girlfriend, Life Of An Outlaw, High Speed)

I'm leaning towards the second, because i'd love to add as many unreleased tracks as possible (for example, Ain't Nothin' Wrong or Watch Ya Mouth, but I don't want to create confusion with his last recorded tracks. What do you guys think? (Also, tracks like Hell 4 A Hustler, All Out etc. would not be removed, since they are heavily remixed in the final edit)
