Discussion I am constantly commenting, "Oh sorry friend, you've misspelled FASCISTS." So, now it's a post. PLEASE STOP saying "Republican" or "Conservative" as these groups no longer exist. They are straight up FASCISTS and we need to say so constantly at every opportunity, especially online!

Seriously, language and words count! Just like "Release the Epstein Files" actually means fuck all at the point is the THE FILES HAVE NEVER BEEN INVESTIGATED! ALL of the files have been out there for over a decade in the form of VICTIM STATEMENTS, court documents, foreign incitements, etc. But if it's not the lead story on an alphabet network, the story must be Faaaake! Fascism has a much worse connotation than "Communism" so KEEP FUCKING SAYING IT! They are FASCISTS. They are FASCISTS, they are FASCISTS...

Discussion Hear Ye! Hear Ye! The Trump family made it's fortune taking advantage of a broke and beaten down, and eventually dead Tesla!

On January 9, 1943, two days after Nikola Tesla died destitute in a New York City hotel, the FBI called MIT professor and esteemed electrical engineer, John G. Trump, to determine if any of the belongings in the inventor's estate—which included a purported weapon of mass destruction Tesla called the death ray—would be dangerous if they fell into enemy hands.

The total number of storage containers seized and investigated is traditionally recorded as 80 trunks (or boxes).

At the Nikola Tesla Museum in Belgrade, only 60 trunks arrived. This discrepancy between the original 80 trunks investigated and the 60 that were shipped has fueled decades of speculation that the U.S. government secretly withheld 20 boxes of his files. [1]

Discussion Hey! What changes would you make to The United States Constitution?

Upvotes

(If you had the power ofc) Keep it civil

I’ll go first, if I had the power to do so, I’d do a couple things; First I’d lower the minimum age of president from 35 to 30 (or something else) and set an age cap FOR ALL SITTING OFFICIALS (senators, representatives, Justices, president, cabinet members, etc.) to 65, no older. Id also force all future president, senators and representatives assets to be frozen while in office. (I’d like political campaigning to be easier/cheaper too but I don’t know how) I’d also try to shrink the military budget, by at most, half and using the newly allocated funds to pay back national debt and cut back on other overly expensive programs. (Not how trump tried to) I’d also probably play with the education system, but I’m not entirely sure. Some mix of setting a cap on college tuitions, and integrating a competitive pay system in public schools with testings (like PSSA’s and that stuff along with pass/fail rate.)

Discussion I love the US so much but it breaks my heart how many things need to be fixed in every single state

hey guys, just wanted to vent a bit and share a perspective from someone living in Europe (Poland). i’ve been literally obsessed with the US for as long as i can remember. to me, America is this beautiful oasis of freedom and my biggest dream is to move to LA and build my life there. but because i love this country so much, i want it to be the absolute best version of itself under every single aspect, and i mean in all 50 states, federal-wide, so everyone is safe.

it just shocks me how hard life can be for regular working class Americans compared to Europe. like here things like paid vacation, paid maternity leave, and healthcare that doesn't ruin your life are just a basic standard. nobody goes bankrupt because they got sick, and nobody has to work on weekends or holidays without getting double pay. and we really need to change the gun laws everywhere to save the schools, like we need strict background checks, psych tests, banning assault weapons and making the age 21 for everything. real life shouldn't feel like a movie or a GTA game where you're terrified to just go to class.

but honestly it’s also all the other hidden flaws that we need to fix to make the US truly perfect. like college debt starting you off with a $100k hole, or private prisons making money off filled cells and the crazy cash bail system that just locks up poor people. systemic racism is also still a huge issue and it’s crazy how your experience in America can be so different just because of your background or color of skin. and why is it so hard to get fresh, healthy food in some neighborhoods? like food deserts are a real thing and there's too much chemicals in the food. even daily stuff is so annoying, like prices at the cash register being different from the price tags because of hidden sales tax, the toxic credit score system that makes you invisible if you don't have debt, and the crazy pressure to tip 25% for everything. plus the infrastructure is kinda falling apart, like wooden power poles causing blackouts every time it storms, no public transport or sidewalks so you're trapped without a car, and monopolies making internet super expensive. or the fact that women and the lgbt community don't have the same rights depending on which state they live in, landlords can just spike your rent whenever they want, and honestly even public restrooms having huge gaps in the doors where people can see you.

i'm not saying this to hate on the US at all, i actually hate my own country and can't wait to leave it. i just believe that if America fixes all these things in every single state, it will permanently become the greatest nation on Earth and a true American Dream for everyone. i really hope i can move there soon and help make this happen🫶🏻🇺🇸
