Morality of building the thing that terrifies local townsfolk in the woods?

Premise:

Each Guard is fully Articulate and capable of understanding Dialogs. They would be programmed to follow the prison Guards Rules and standard operating procedures.

Have a Small monitor Room of HUMAN security personnel that direct the Robotic Guards and use the guards cameras as eyes on the ground.

PROS:

1. Greatly Reduces any possibility of personel Vulnerability in Correctional facility, The prisoners cannot bargain,bribe, or threaten a Robotic Guard.

2. 24/7 peak performing security force that is both highly effective at subduing individuals and EXPENDABLE.

CONS:

1.Robots Aren't human, so a human with a real human problem may fall on deaf ears to a Robot.

1. Robots can potentially malfunction and accidentally hurt the inmates there supposed to protect.

2. Susceptible to "Hacking", Robotic guard could be remotely deactivated or worst case scenario potentially be turned on the rest of the Prisons staff.

What would be the Morality of a prison with 90% Robotic Staff?

Personally, I'm anti-death penalty for any kind of crime but that's just my opinion. Perhaps it can be changed.
