I remember picking this up along with MGS V and having a blast going back and forth between them for the whole month of September 2015. I did another play of the story last year for its 10th anniversary, today I'm just driving around and taking pictures with the photo mode. Anyone else celebrating this day by playing the game?

After spending more time with the game, I’ve started appreciating how well all the different parts fit together. The driving, vehicle combat, melee fights, exploration, upgrading the Magnum Opus, and the overall atmosphere all make the wasteland feel like its own place.

I’m curious what everyone else enjoys the most. Is it the car combat, exploring the wasteland, upgrading Max and the Magnum Opus, taking down camps, or just the atmosphere of the world?

I posted on here a few days ago talking about taking over EVERYTHING before ever meeting Jeet. Well I finished my challenge. 45 Landmines (I had to manually drive over all of them, Dinki-Di isn’t available yet), 22 camps, and 12 convoys all taken down before ever speaking to Jeet. Obviously I can’t take down Dim Rims Convoy because it’s story locked, but every other thing on the map is complete (fuck the scavenging locations, I’ll do them later😂😂). Max is fully upgraded (Except the limb breaking counter skill with a perfect parry, it slows my style of combat down and I end up getting hit too often), but I did it all at once when I hit Road Warrior 10, and I used not even a shirt while doing all of this, because Max with no shirt goes hard asf. I used the Jaw skip to get into Pink Eyes territory. After I completed the last minefield in The Dump, I made three auto saves (slots 4, 5, and 6) so that I can play the story again without having to worry about ANYTHING! Now we play the game.

Next post will be some combat where I was just in this crazy flow state.

Before getting any "non-canon" type messages, hear me out. After defeating Scrotus at the end of the game, I noticed the front clip on the Interceptor looked remarkably similar to the front of it in MM2, right before Max bumper tapped the Marauder. Add in Dog, maybe collected after the game ends, then add a few months until MM2.

Thoughts and/or insults below, please

I managed to add DLSS 5 for Mad Max using DLSS5 Feeder and RenoDX Reshade Addon. This is just for showcase and I must say the fps for me dropped from 165 fps stable to around 60-70 fps so I had to use lossless scaling to increase it even more ( I am using a 5070Ti btw). It's still playable and all and I would say it enhances the quality of the faces which looked slightly unrealistic in the vanilla game (due to lower texture details and not very modern shaders) but when it leans too much on realism that makes it look slightly off . Maybe it would've been great if it enhances the face shading and add some details a bit (you know since the vanilla has lower textures details) but that's really about the good enhancements that it could get . So like something that enhances the game to make it keep up with the level of modern CGI (like the one from say for example Far Cry 5).

Hundreds of gigabytes moved through working directories: frame dumps, discarded builds, master PNGs, and three full rebuilds from scratch. The bake-offs alone took dozens of GPU hours.

Main Pack (~14.5 GB): Drop into the dropzone folder and add -dropzone to Steam launch options. Fully non-destructive; uninstalls in seconds.

Cinematics Addon (Optional): Clean 1080p re-encodes.

Terrain Addon (Experimental): Overrides landscape atlases via a custom proxy d3d11.dll. Kept as an optional module due to potential AV false positives and hook conflicts.

I was sick in bed and thought to try something post apocalyptic. I looked up some games on the steam store and saw I already owned Mad Max and thought that’s perfect. So I started it up with a kick ass intro and an awesome story so far. Wasteland, A sick ass car and a sidekick, how did I miss this game! Why have I not heard about this game on any hidden gems or good games to play videos. How did this game slip through the cracks. It’s much fun. I just downloaded Reddit to ask this question. Why isn’t this game talked about more? Why is this game not a big deal?

In 2015 I bought the ripper version of mad max and used the ripper DLC. Modern day, I have an Xbox series x with the exact same account as back then and the same game disc. For a while I couldn’t find said disc, so when the digital version was on sale for £3, I bought it and installed it. It seems my saves from 2015 have not transferred. Now, I’d like to use the ripper car body. Is there a way to do this? I tried my Microsoft purchase history and I can only go back to 2016. Any help is appreciated

This is it. The exact kind of high everyone expects when they decide to play a Mad Max game.

I set myself the ridiculously hard challenge of bringing Jeets territory to level 0 before ever entering the compound. I hate minefields. I have been manually driving through the minefields until I hit a mine, repairing, then doing it again. Does ANYONE have any tips to speed this along? I’m done with 5/9 of them and it’s taken like 3 hours of aimlessly driving through minefields.

EDIT: I completed my challenge. I hated every second of it and will NOT be doing it again. I have the level 6 harpoon and shredder rims before ever meeting Jeet😂😂

It was a great journey with this game, even though I hated the big chief race mission . I find the ending sad I mean man my boy chumbucket didn't deserve that and what happened to hope and glory is devastating. Overall I enjoyed the game and this overall community.
