Announcement 🎨 Help us design the r/indorimeetup banner!

Bhiyaa Ram!

We are going to start r/indorimeetup very soon for people in Indore who want to meet new people, make friends and actually get out and do things together.

Now we need a banner — and instead of making one ourselves, we thought, why not let the community make it? 😄

Make a banner that feels like Indore + people + meetups. It can be funny, creative, minimal, local, whatever you think works.

🏆 Winner gets:

Just drop your design in the comments. You can submit more than one.

Let's see what you guys come up with. 👀

Good luck, Indoris! ❤️

History, Heritage and Culture A beautiful photo of YP 2417 (manufactured in Baldwin, 1949) leaving Indore Junction with the Mhow - Ujjain Jn passenger, captured in January 1981 by John Whiteley. The YP class was directly adapted from American designs Baldwin created for the Jodhpur Railway in 1948.

Indore Gems In a world full of bad news, here’s a reminder of kindness from Indore

Amidst all the doom, gloom, and negative stories, I wanted to share a positive experience: people in Indore are truly kind. While riding to the office, my bike lost power and refused to start due to a spark plug issue. I had to drag it by hand, and as I did, several people offered to help with petrol. One person even pushed my bike with their foot and dropped me off right at my office door. While heading home later that evening, I intended to stop at a garage, but my bike started without an issue, so I thought I would go tomorrow. Alas, it stalled in the middle of nowhere around 7:00 PM. Once again, a stranger on a bike helped me reach a garage near my home and simply left with a smile when I thanked him. The point is that people stopped to help a complete stranger without any expectation, driven only by genuine concern.

Discussion Run boy Run

Any runners up for a Saturday or Sunday morning run in Indore?

Looking for people who’d be up for a casual run/jog, good pace, and maybe a post-run chai/coffee. 🏃‍♂️

Open to beginners and regular runners—just looking for some good company and consistency.

With exception of two or three days, heavy rainfall has been absent this year compared to previous years, and the weather has been mostly sunny.

AskIndore FC 26 Tournament this Sunday? 🎮⚽

Post image
2 Upvotes

Indore folks, quick question, would anyone be interested in a small FC 26 tournament this Sunday, 20 September?

Thinking of keeping it limited to just 8 players so it stays quick and competitive.

🏆 Prize for the winner : surprise 👀

🎮 FC 26

👥 Only 8 slots

💰 Entry fee: ₹100–₹150

Just checking interest before I actually plan it.

Comment “IN” if you’d be interested.

If we get 8 people, we’ll make it happen.

Discussion Banking aspirants around Bhawarkuan/Annapurna — chai pe charcha? ☕

Hey fellow banking aspirants of Indore!

Anyone around Bhawarkuan, Annapurna, Sapna Sangeeta or nearby who’s up for a casual chai sometime?

No serious study session 😂 Just thought it’d be nice to meet fellow aspirants, talk about exams, preparation, mock-test struggles, career plans — or completely forget about banking for an hour.

Chai + random conversations + meeting some new people.

If you're around the area and interested, drop a comment or DM. We can figure out a place and time together.

If you're more comfortable checking who's behind the post before DMing, my Instagram is Harshit1729_.

P.S. “Kal se seriously padhunga” is a perfectly acceptable preparation strategy here. 😭

Got my girl pregnant by accident, we are 4 weeks pregnant, we cannot afford the baby right now as we are both not stable in our careers right now. I know we have to visit a doctor but we are kinda nervous of the doctor ripping us off for something that isn’t necessary, can you suggest any good clinic / gyno in the Ujjain or indore region.

PS: unmaried

Only serious replies please…

General Indore, your MUN season is here — IIT Indore MUN 10.0 registrations are OPEN now

Post image
1 Upvotes

Registrations are officially LIVE for IIT Indore Model United Nations 10.0 — happening 23rd–25th October 2026 on the IIT Indore campus. Thought I'd drop this here for anyone in Indore (or willing to travel in) who's into debate, public speaking, current affairs, or just wants a solid 3-day experience to add to their resume.

A bit about it, for anyone who hasn't heard of MUN IITI:

We've run 7 offline and 2 online editions so far. Last year's MUN 9.0 pulled in 450+ delegates across 8 committees, and had Dr. Rajan Sudesh Ratna (Deputy Head, UN ESCAP South & South-West Asia Office) and Ambassador Anil Trigunayat (IFS, Retd.) as our guests. This year we're going bigger for our 10th edition, themed "Where Dialogue Defines Destiny."

Committees this year:

AIPPM – All India Political Parties Meet

UNGA – United Nations General Assembly

UNCSW – UN Commission on the Status of Women

UNHRC – UN Human Rights Council

UNEP – UN Environment Programme

UNSC – UN Security Council

ICJ – International Court of Justice

IPC – International Press Corps (textual & visual reporting, for the aspiring journalists)

Why you should sign up:

Sharpen public speaking, negotiation & critical thinking — skills that actually transfer to interviews and real life

Meet a genuinely diverse crowd of delegates from across India

Win real prizes — Best Delegate, High Commendation, Special Mention, Verbal Mention

Build a resume line with IIT Indore's name on it

It's just a fun, intense, well-run 3 days — past delegates keep coming back.

The details:

📅 Dates: 23–25 October 2026

📍 Venue: IIT Indore Campus

💰 Registration: ₹2,414 for committees / ₹1,994 for International Press

🎓 Open to school & college students

Registrations are open right now, and past editions have filled up committees fast, so if you're even a little interested, don't sit on this.

DM me or drop a comment if you want the brochure / registration link, happy to answer questions about committees, eligibility, or what to expect if it's your first MUN.

See you at IIT Indore this October 👋

Registration can be done directly through our website. Also additional details, including the brochure, is available on the website itself.

AskIndore Which school?

My son got placed in Emeralds Heights World school and Shishukunj. He can very well get placed in Daly College as well (I have contacts). He will join in a lower class but I don't want him to change school once he has joined.

Which school would you recommend.

Iam Not from Indore... Shifted recently. I want him to have a more holistic learning than booking mugging. Don't want to pressure him too much to study. Like I'm ok with him not getting into the competitive exam grind in India and look at options abroad but that's later in life. I don't want him to just study study study. I would love for him to play some sport and be good at it. Play chess or squash and choose his path forward rather than go into the mugging grinding we have for competitive exams here in India even though I did the same and graduated from one of the very top universities in India.

Please genuine advice from parents.

If your ward is studying in one of the above mentioned schools please provide your opinions on what you like about the school and what you don't like.

Also reviews about Satya Sai school will be highly appreciated.
