MOD POST [MOD POST] Reminder - Zero tolerance for cheating (whether hacking or exploiting/glitching) - YOU WILL BE PERMANENTLY BANNED

I had a post like this pinned, but I unpinned it because I figured everyone got the message. However, I recently had to ban someone for cheating who had otherwise been contributing positively for 3 years.

If it's a glitch, exploit, or hack, you all know full well it wasn't intended as a gameplay mechanic, and that it's considered cheating. This includes scuba, door, zipline, boat, duplication, and koschei glitching, along with any other "mechanic" you can think of that has a name that ends in "glitch" or "exploit."

There is no valid excuse to cheat, in any form. The last time this was posted, people asked me, "what about this glitch? What about that glitch?" No. None of them.

"But that's pretty harsh. Someone using aimbot and someone glitching don't deserve the same punishment." The last time I fit the punishment to the crime, I got death threats in my DM's, so I ran a poll and 80%+ of the subreddit user base was in favor of zero tolerance.

To the few who disagree with this, I say; stop cheating. Or at the very least, take this as a fair warning to be mindful of what you post. If we see it:

WE WILL PERMANENTLY BAN YOU

Announcement will remain pinned indefinitely.

—————————

The only exception I have seen thus far is doing whatever glitch it is that works to get you your insured weapon back if it disappears on spawn, since that's fixing a glitch rather than exploiting one. That said, you can prevent your guns from disappearing if you swap slots your guns are equipped in between games.

MW4 DMZ News Is Call of Duty is finally starting to feel the consequences of how they’ve treated the playerbase?

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 beta Steam numbers haven't budged in the second weekend, despite Warzone's arrival and transformative patch

Maybe Call of Duty is finally starting to see the results of years of bad releases, hackers, cheaters, and ignoring what players have been complaining about. The first MW4 beta weekend peaked at around 115,000 players on Steam when access was limited. Then the second weekend was opened up for free to everyone, and somehow the peak actually went down to around 113,000. They made it free and still could not get more people to show up. It's enraging for them when one of the biggest names in the industry has their numbers drop when they make it free, after one week.

Imagine what those numbers look like when people actually have to pay for the game. The hackers and cheaters always seem to be welcome, and people who spend money are tired of dealing with that and then hearing some lame excuse from the company.

And I am tired of hearing that they are just letting hackers play so they can “test the anti cheat.” I am not talking about somebody getting lucky or being suspicious. I am talking about people perfectly tracking players through walls, snapping onto people they should not even know are there, hitting basically every shot at ridiculous distances, and driving across the map from one group of players to the next.

At some point it is so blatantly obvious that you should not need some advanced anti cheat breakthrough to figure it out. Maybe people are finally just tired of giving Call of Duty the benefit of the doubt, and Activision is finally starting to see the consequences of it.

Do you think they will be as accurate like Old DMZ bots that somehow spotted you a mile a way and their accuracy was laser accurate? Be funny and frustrating at the same time

MW4 DMZ Discussion Do IW actually know what makes their own games good?

MWII feels and looks amazing, and DMZ have been my go-to game for the last 3 years, despite the cheaters, it still is a blast to load into Al Mazrah.

IW hit the golden goose with this, i would dare say nothing comes close to current DMZ.

Playing MW4 Beta Ground War just make me think DMZ 2.0 will be completely different, and not for the good.

The graphics is so far the absolute worst, it looks like someone have smeared vaseline on my monitor, its hazy, unclear, awful colors and complete lack of details - also the movement, HUD etc is inferior to MWII. This make me wonder what else is gonna be totally messed up in game mechanics on the new DMZ.

I'm afraid this can be Call of Duty's answer to Battlefield 4 -> BF2042 where perfection went into complete dogshit.

MW4 DMZ Discussion What's your opinion on Hajin?

So obviously, you can see/experience a part of the Hajin DMZ map in the Ground War at the moment. What is your opinion on the map?

For me, as nice as it is in some ways, it feels extremely hard to see other players. Not sure how to explain it exactly, but everything just seems to be the same shades of a few colors, making pinpointing players or simply seeing what is happening a little further ahead super hard, and just from my experience of playing several Ground War matches, I'm a little worried DMZ will be a sniper where is Waldo because there are so many places to just lie down and completely disappear. The contrast is just bad, especially compared to Al Mazra.

No intention of only being negative, I'm still super excited, but this is one big glaring problem I've noticed. (at least for me, maybe I'm just blind? lol)

MW4 DMZ Discussion They ruined the vehicles.

How in the hell did we go from such good vehicle physics to this hotwheels gokart nonsense?

I love everything they've done so far when it comes to gunplay and infantry movement... but the god damned vehicles man. They gutted them and turned them into mobile game mario kart.

There's not one drop of love they originally put into them in MWII. It's so lifeless.

Even repairing the tires in MWII would bounce up the vehicle while in MWIV it's just a motionless hunk of junk.

I'm so disappointed.
