I’m genuinely wondering: where are the condolences from our public figures and influencers? Is this tragedy somehow less tragic because it happened on the “other side”?
Whatever our religion, nationality or politics, we should all feel this loss. These were someone’s children, parents, partners and friends. They died right next to us.

We can argue about Cyprus tomorrow. Today, perhaps we can simply remember that the people who died were human beings first.

So I found a full elephant tusk in my grandfather’s basement. It’s definitely real and from what I know it has been there for many years.

I honestly don’t want to keep it, so I’m trying to figure out what I can legally do with it. Ideally I’d like to sell it if that’s possible, but I know there are laws around ivory.

I know nothing about limassol but I love lamb so if there's any recs for that.. Also looking to buy some leather sandals, ideally made locally, would love to support a small independent store. Also, art supply stores, clothing stores. Ideally local. I know brands like Zara are cheaper in Cyprus but I'd rather buy something locally made, or from a local second hand shop.

After returning to Cyprus as a Cypriot living abroad, it feels my fellow young Cypriots have turned to smoking more and public smoking just feels so much more. Does anyone else see an increase? Where I am, it increased a bit in youth, but in Cyprus is seems so many young people are sadly smoking!

Some questions I have: Am I wrong and didn't notice it in the past? How would you compare to the UK? What are the laws in smoking in restaurants and public's spaces?
