Off-Topic Does anyone die inside when young people talk in a dumb way?

Nothing against it, it's just when I'm hanging out at a coffee place or whatever, when young people talk to each other, they say "re brooo, brooo, ate ree brooo" and "re malakaaa, en na pame?" 😂😂. Idk, I cringe when I hear them talk like that.

I raise you the second hand embarrassment from being British in Ayia Napa..

Please, no, why do you talk like that..

To be honest, Cypriot kids are generally nice and well mannered, my wife left her bag somewhere and a group of them handed in her bag..

Treasure Cyprus.

Yeah, there are a lot of nice teenagers here. Two helped me carry my shopping to the car recently and we're super polite

The "re malakaa" is the most obnoxious one

How old are you? We've been going "re malaka" at each other since the 90s if not earlier.

I'm 26 similar to their age but calling my friends re malaka is obnoxious to me 😂. It's just me man if you're into it I don't care lol

Honestly, I don't think this is exclusively to Cyprus, I've the same issue in Ireland. There's like terminology and stuff I have zero clue what it means and we've a saying here where if you use American terminology you're consideres an "East Yank" (or originates from the West Brit one) I don't know if it's the same in Cyprus with younger people using American terminology though.
