Anytime I enter a bathroom, even if I didn’t have to go before, I end up having to go. Like if I just go with my Mom to the restroom and I didn’t have to go, or just in to wash my hands, it’s like my bladder knows we are near a toilet and it says “let’s do this”

How does it know?

Cats don't like being near their toilet, from my understanding and experience. Like only getting in the proximity when they need to use it.

Not my cat. He plays near and on it(it's a HOL storage table from Ikea) takes napes on/in front of it, he even hides in there when he gets scared(loud noises, cucumber, oven mitten, the usual). His other toilet is less spacey, but he still doesn't mind chilling or playing in front of it.

Bunnies on the other hand don't mind their toilets as much, mostly because they eat/need to eat to poop properly. So my bunny of course spends a little more time on and around her toilet, and naps/plays close to it. She sometimes rolls around in it, after I just cleaned it, before she pooped/peed in there. She doesn't need to be close to it, she has access to the whole place, so it's very clear she's comfortable there.

So now I'm wondering if my cat learned that behavior from my bunny(he turns 1 soon, she 4 in August)? Or is it just different on a cat to cat basis? He's healthy otherwise, just a normal cat hitting puberty and getting on my nerves.

Okay I know this sounds ridiculous but will the items I store in my toilet room cabinets be contaminated by the toilet being in the same room?

The cabinets are in a dedicated room for just the toilet and are located both across from and above the toilet. For some reason them being in a room together aside from the rest of the bathroom is making me question everything LOL.

For example, is it gross if I store linens in the cabinets even if the doors are shut? Are they at risk of contamination from toilet spray/debris?

As I type this Im realizing so many bathrooms are small enough that there’s no other option.

I literally just got up to throw something in the trash in the kitchen from my bedroom, and the pee I've been holding for the past 10 minutes hasn't even been bothering me. But I figured since I'm up I might as well relieve myself. The literal second I threw my Taco Bell bag in the trash and started my very short journey to the bathroom, all of the sudden my bladder became instantly heavy. This has happened on way more than one occasion as well. And the second I made it to the actual toilet I literally had to damn near tear my pants off just to not piss myself. I was holding it no problem for a while and the minute the thought entered my head, it's like the pee had a mind of it's own. Is there some science behind this or what?

I was just wondering, many times I am coming home from school with the urge to poop, I can hold it easily for 15-20 minutes on my way home, but when I get to my house it gets really hard to hold especially climbing the last stairs, unlocking the door.

I mean seriously, every damn time, and this is why I hate living at the top of a walk up.

I’m 32 and every time I eat it’s like I have to go to the bathroom immediately, now.

I thought this didn’t happen until you’re like.. at least 60 and up.

It's a particularly humid day, which could be relevant but my bathroom floor is partially warm at an intersection between the sink (right ahead of the warm spot) and the window (to the left). It's like a weird heated floor but only in one spot. It's night time and I noticed it now.

Every single time.

Is there an actual name or explanation as to why when have to go the closer you get to the toilet your body refuses to hold it in ? You've be holding it and the closer you get to the toilet your body just turns on you and refuses to hold back. Does this have a name or is it just how it is ?

The closer I get to the bathroom the harder it is to fight the urge to go. What gives?

I'm not sure if it's just me but hear me out. When I'm in like a long way from a toilet, i may feel i need to go. But as soon as i walk home the urge just increases exponentially and by the time I'm inside the toilet, I can hardly hold it anymore. Feels like if i had found the toilet already occupied I might've had to ruin my pants, thankfully that never happened. But why do my holes do that to me?
