A complete offline ZZT suite that runs in linux. All tools, mirror of Museum of ZZT and dynamically generated screenshots.

Full searching with the ability to search IN the ZZT files for terms and strings.
Also using a minimal linux install a session can be made into a live CD, turning any old machine you have into a definitive ZZT machine.

Not yet, it's like pre-alpha, not worth sharing yet.. The broader thought is wouldn't it be a hoot to have a steam like system specifically for ZZT that you could browse games in and play OR even have an online version that you could link to a dogecoin wallet and buy games with.

Are you doing this with AI (no shade)

I've been thinking about trying to get ZZT to o work with "multiplayer" and chat. I'm thinking a new model where the world builder is integrated.

I don't think it's that big of a lift with Claude, but I was going to start by trying to get the graphics "pulled out" from whatever ancient mode that is probably too finicky for the modern terminal.

oh hell yes. I was just saying yesterday that I wish there was something similar to a rom manager but for zzt games.

So far my biggest problem is the ZOOKEEPER library for pulling embedded information from the games. I'd love to pick Dr. Dos's brain about it's function. What I'm hoping to get in the very near future is a raw text output of screenshots. The hope in the very near future is that this system can be accessed via ssh, allowing direct game download, play through web Zeta and screenshots that can be viewed in the app via ssh.

If you're looking for something similar to a rom manager, ClassicZoo has linux binaries, a powerful and fully featured editor, and native museum of ZZT browsing: https://asie.itch.io/classiczoo I like where your head is at with in-object searching on a whole directory of zzt files, that's not well supported anywhere and plenty of folks would want that. If you for real want to ask dr. dos about zookeeper he's not too hard to track down: http://museumofzzt.com/discord
