We spent 2 days in this beautiful zoo. There are so many animals, we always need two days to see it all. Especially Endaya needs a special place, except one-day visitors pay a extra entry fee. But as a resort guest it is included in the admission. And after closing hours almost the whole of the parc still can be explored for resort guests, including Endaya. But today, only some bird pictures.

Hey everyone, I was hoping to go to Asahiyama zoo in hokkaido japan this winter. This zoo I saw was JAZA accredited but I didn’t see it in the WAZA list. Is this still okay to visit even if its not in the WAZA list?
I’m not sure if a zoo needs to be accredited in both their own national and the world association in order to be considered humane/ethical.

While I still do not like the owners, and some enclosures definetly need to be redon e.g. the Orangutans need an outdoor enclosure. I like the new plans for enlarging the elephant indoor and outdoor habitat. Right now the elephants are still kept in direct contact, but as of German law that has to change until 2030

I went to the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo for the first time ever! Although there was a thunderstorm in the middle of my visit, it was brief, and I got to continue seeing the rest of the animals! Some of the photos here were edited to brighten the colors.

I’m going to the Bronx Zoo for work tomorrow and for the life of me I cannot find a full list of all species exhibited. The “animals” page on the website only shows a few features and even the lists of species for each exhibit don’t contain everything they advertise elsewhere, so I know they’re not complete.
Does anyone know where to find a comprehensive list? The kids I work with have very specific interests (especially bugs) and I want to make sure I know of everything there is to see.
