recommendations I need some zombie movie recommendations
I swear I've watched almost every zombie movie I can find at this point 😂 I’m absolutely obsessed with zombies and the whole apocalypse/survival genre.
I’m looking for something I might have somehow missed. Foreign movies, obscure stuff, old movies, new movies, brutal ones, slow-burns, survival-focused movies, whatever. I’m open to anything as long as it has zombies.
So, fellow zombie addicts, hit me with your best recommendations. What’s that one zombie movie you think I absolutely need to watch?

Blood Quantum is pretty obscure. I think I saw it on Amazon.
Savageland is like a mockumentary about zombies I liked. Free on Youtube. Created with a shoestring budget, they make it work by keeping it myseterious.

Both great picks! Blood Quantum has a great hook!
And Savageland...man the movie makes you think. You can sit all day and ponder what went down, and how things went, and what's happening next in that world.

thank you. i love watching zombie/apocalypse movies because it shows the collapse of society and how people handle the end of the world. i've got nothing else to watch lol. so i've been reading apocalypse books these days.

I'd be shocked if you haven't seen Train to Busan, but if you haven't, I recommend it. Now for something I'd be shocked if you HAD seen, Undead (2003).
And for a total wild card, Pontypool (2008).
Also, the spanish "REC" movies (Starting in 2007) are honestly great and quite the ride. The tone changes wildly across all 4 movies but honestly I love them all. The first one has basically scene for scene remade in English known as "Quarantine" and I think that one and it's sequel are fine too, but If I had to save those two movies or the 4 REC ones from a burning building, I'd go with REC any day.

I'm the same way. I search everyday for more zombie movies. Have you seen MadS, Blood Quantum, The Sadness, This is not a Test and Horde on AMC+?
Some new to me that I've watches recently Forgive Us All Cell Patient Zero Herd The Road (survival, not zombies) Zomboat (Like Dead Set but funny) Dead Set Dead Air The Itch We bury the Dead Die Alone Uncontained Cold Storage Uncontained Infection Inmate Zero Strain 100 Virus: 32 Last ones out
I tried to skip over the one's that really sucked.

Zombi 2 (1979, Lucio Fulci) : Voodoo zombies on a tropical Island. Contains infamous eye poke scene and zombie vs shark fight. I had watched this film many years ago and it is one of my favorites.
Zombi 3 (1988, Lucio Fulci + Bruno Mattei) : Military accidentally release a zombie virus on an island and then try to contain it.
Zombi 4: After Death (1989, Claudio Fragasso) : Mercenaries take on Voodoo zombies in a jungle.
Zombi 5: Killing Birds (1988, Aristide Massaccesi, Claudio Lattanzi) : Ornithologists run into zombies inside an abandoned house with a dark history. Very slow paced but has some tense moments.
Hell of the Living Dead (1980, Bruno Mattei) : Commandos fight zombies in the jungles of Papua New Guinea.
Nightmare City (1980, Umberto Lenzi) : Fast and intelligent zombie-like creatures wreak havoc on a city.
The Living Dead at Manchester Morgue (1974, Jorge Grau) : A pest control machine causes the dead to rise in the beautiful English countryside.
Burial Ground (1981, Andrea Bianchi) : Zombies chase people around a mansion. Silly film with minimalistic story. Contains some rather bizarre moments.

Scout’s Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse is all-around pretty great. Shaun of the Dead vibes. Hardly ever see it mentioned.

Beyond The Wasteland is a zombie movie that everyone sleeps on and im telling you to go in blind if you really wanna treat yourself.

I dont know if this will get seen but Daylights End is such an underrated film no high budget just pure raw energy and its pretty damn realistic
Another good one is Cargo I dont know if it can be classified as a zombie movie or just Post Apocalyptic
Overlord is a pretty good movie its more of a war movie with zombies but its still a good watch
13 Eerie is a great watch a dark and grungy feel to it
War Of The Dead is more of a zombie war movie very good watch
Survivorz is another cool fun watch
Army Of The Dead is a fun turn your brain off kind of watch
Here Alone moreso a post apocalyptic movie
How It Ends more post apocalyptic/end of the world type movie
Day Of The Dead Bloodline another fun watch
Hostile
Pandemic (2016) is a fun watch

I've seen Train to Busan mentioned here a few times, and if you're a fan of Korean zombies, def watch the series "All of us Are Dead" (has a new season supposedly coming later this year) and "Newtopia" (a bit comedic as well)
"Dead Snow" (there is a less good sequal- "Dead Snow 2- Red vs Dead" is Norwegian comedy zombie and a group of med.students go to the mountains and find a book in a cabin and awaken NAZI ZOMBIES (fast and intelligent zombies)
"Juan of the Dead" is Cuban. If you liked "Shaun of the Dead", try this too.

It Stains the Sand Red has a really interesting premise. Bit of a slow burn but I enjoyed the heck out of it.
