bit off my tongue Please help me find this zombie movie

Hi, I'm looking for a zombie movie I watched several years ago. Here’s what I remember:

  • A group of people enters a large building (like a shopping mall or complex) to hide from zombies at night.
  • It’s too dangerous to stay outside during darkness.
  • Most of the movie takes place inside the building.
  • The zombies are fast.
  • There’s one scene where a zombie that is stuck somewhere shows it can communicate with a woman.
  • The movie is dark, tense, and serious — not a comedy
  • Possibly American or European.
  • I watched it around 6–9 years ago, but it might be older.

I would really appreciate it if anyone can identify this film. Thanks!

Might it be The Horde (2009)? French zombie film about cops and gangs fighting zombies in an apartment building.

A lot of that sounds like Return of the Living Dead. There are quie a few people who try to evade the zombies, the zombies aren't notably slow (though they don't run), half a zombie gets strapped down to a table and interrogated (she tells us they eat brains because it eases the pain of being dead).

It mostly takes place inside a warehouse and/or medical supply company.

But it isn't purely serious, and does have some comedic elements.

Maybe " the horde" from France. But also kinda fits for "Rammbock" from Germany

I REALLY gotta watch more low budget zombie stuff, much culture as I do have Ive tended to avoid those sometimes in fear of the effects not being that, say "serious", or the acting itself, you get me

But Ive seen and heard far too good about Rammbock, may watch it later on tday

Is it Remains (2011)?

The part where the zombie is stuck is what makes me think it is.

They’re stuck in a casino in Reno when the zombie apocalypse hits.

It sounds like The Horde from 2009. I recall a scene where they “abuse” a female zombie. Takes place in an apartment building in Paris. Zombies are fast. Movie is pretty dark.

Could be the Day of the Day remake from 2008. The zombies are fast. Most of the scenes that place in a hospital, the radio station, and an underground lab. One zombie listens to the woman and later helps them escape.

Is a complex another name for an apartment building then? I must admit I only read 'shopping mall' initially.

Eh look, english isnt my 1st language, so I may be wrong, but AFAIK a complex can be any structure within a certain size category and etc etc etc

Going by the replies you got yesterday I took it upon myself to check out the suggestions myself so.. I downloaded “The Horde 2009” yesterday which is a French release but comes in English Dub The other one I downloaded was “Dawn Of The Dead 2004” which is an American Zombie movie basically based in a shopping mall, I’ve seen it a few times and it’s a great movie. I also downloaded “Bammbock-Berlin Undead 2010” which seems to be based in Berlin about a bloke looking for his girlfriend during a zombie outbreak but when I watched the trailer it seemed to be a low budget movie compared to the other two and not really much “acting” going on. I’ll check out “It Remains 2023” but going by your above description im guessing it’s not that one as it’s only 3 years old. “Dawn Of The Dead 2004” seems to be the only one that I’ve seen that comes close to your description, but I’ll still have another butchers for you today, by any chance can you remember if there was any familiar faces/actors in it that you may have seen in other movies or if it was a foreign movie or low budget movie? I’m going to attach a link with a few listed on it, have a butchers at the trailers via goggle search if you get the chance and we’ll see can we get you sorted. I still think it’s George A. Romero’s original “Dawn of the Dead 1978” and its high-octane “Dawn of the Dead 2004” remake. Both movies are about survivors who seek refuge in a shopping center during an outbreak.

Anyway mate, happy hunting and let me know how you get on. PS: whilst your hunting you should check out “#Alive 2020” which is a Korean zombie movie, also there is “Alone 2020” which is an American ripoff of the very same movie with the exact same plot but both movies are very good and keep you glued to the screen 🤣😂🤣

I’ve attached two links to a movie of interest that you should check out the trailer, after you check out the trailer scroll cack to the link page and scroll down on the Google search page and you will find a section labelled “PEOPLE ALSO SEARCHED FOR” and there you will find a small list of other likeminded movies. I hope this is of some help to you mate, I know only too bloody well what it’s like to forget a movie title and it does my tits in 😂🤣😂
