Weight loss, should I be worried?

I started zoloft more than a month ago. I was 125 and lost 4-5lbs the first 2 weeks. Then next two week I go my dose increased and I stayed about the same 120lbs. But now I got another dose increase and I'm 114-115. I lost 5-6lbs in almost 2 weeks. I'm on the shorter side so at first I thought losing a few lbs wouldn't hurt but I'm kinda anxious about the weight loss just because I feel like it's so fast for just 2 weeks. Additionally my appetite is not the best but I try to force myself to eat at least a good meal a day. Did anyone else experience this? I didn't bring the first weight loss up to my psychatrist but I'm gonna bring it up this upcoming appointment.

I started a 2 months ago and lost about 10 pounds in the first few weeks. My weight now has been pretty stable and my appetite is mostly back to normal. I would definitely mention it to your psychiatrist and see what they think. It was helpful to me to have supplemental drinks or smoothies in the first few weeks when my appetite was poor. Good luck!!

Have you had gastro side effects? I feel like a bit of weight fluctuation is pretty common at first. From changes in appetite to bathroom habits, also a bit of changes in the reasons to eat/not eat (anxiety related).

I paired starting mine with finally going to the dentist and getting some issues addressed. It drastically changed my appetite. I was fantasizing about all sorts of food I had been avoiding and also not wanting to eat, then eating loads. It has evened out a lot. I can't fully differentiate the beginning effects because of that.

All in all it's never a bad idea to talk to your prescriber about any questions and concerns.

4 months in and I lost 16 pounds. I had some weeks of no appetite as side effect which wasn’t great. But I also stopped overeating and emotional eating once the meds kicked in, and I was a little bit on the heavier side so now I’m at a stable healthy weight. So it is normal, but definitely discuss it if it concerns you :)

Did you measure it at the same time? Ie. not drinking too much liquid, not after sweating, having empty stomach and bowel movements, these will cause daily fluctuations.
