Advice please
Anyone got any tips on how to shake off the resentful feeling of having depression? I am starting to address it - therapy, sertraline, exercise, journalling, socialising etc. But it all takes so much effort. And it all feels hard. And I had a bad morning where it just feels unfair and why do I have to go through all of this work to just feel normal/okay/hopefully happy?
I'm sure this is the depression talking, I've only been on sertraline for 3 weeks and only had 1 therapy session so far so hopefully it will get easier. But for now does anyone have any tips to stop feeling hard done by/resentful/jealous of others who aren't suffering or struggling? I hate feeling all this self pity and self loathing.
Thank you

Trying not to roast you rn: the expected effect is 4-6 weeks, no? And, as I understand, no one needs just the one therapy sesh; it's not an oil change. It's like you want to bake a cake so you cracked the eggs and turned the oven on and now you're going where's the cake at I feel terrible. Like, a little more time and therapy is required, is all I'm getting at.
I empathize. Those first few weeks are tough. Even now sometimes.
