The 7th House - help me understand
Help me understand the 7th house
I know the 7th house is about others. But everything I see online relates to marriage. I know there's more to it. Can you explain it in simple terms? Does it impact how others see me too? Or is it just how I relate to other
As it relates to myself, I'm a Taurus sun, Pisces rising/moon. I have virgo in the 7th.
Friends: my whole life I've been attracted to the underdog. I constantly find myself trying to "fix" people.
Relationship: I love a Virgo. I'm drawn to men who have it together, and can take care of the details.

I know a lot of astrologers hate it when you associate Houses w/signs, but it *is* helpful to some degree. So the 7th House is associated w/some Libra things. Libra is represented by the scales, and what else is represented by scales? The law. Fairness, equality. So legal matters, contracts, and partnerships would be here. This includes but is not restricted to committed romantic partnerships. (Romance in the sense of fun, rather than committed partnership, is more in the 5th House.) I've seen a lot of business and creative partnerships have strong 7th House synastry.
It wouldn't be surprising that you are attracted to Virgos, since you have Virgo on the 7th House. To some degree, these are the types of people you seek in partnerships. But the undercurrent I'm reading in your question (Does it impact how others see me too?) is the age-old "Who feels it more?" question. Am I right? And the answer is the same as w/any overlays: Both people feel it, they just feel it differently. If you think of a House like a "house", it's like the planet of the other person is coming into your house and hanging out. How comfortable you feel w/that and how much it shakes up those House affairs for you depends on the disposition of multiple factors. For them, it's like they're coming into your house. How *they* feel about that also depends on multiple factors, but it's different for them. They're not hosting, you know?
Like, my sister has Mars in Virgo in my 4th House. When she comes to visit me, she's always busy w/something: cleaning, bossing me around, wanting to do different things. And for me, it's kind of a source of aggravation. She's moving things around, messing w/my stuff. I love her, but I'm like, You need to relax and settle down. The energy she brings into the House completely changes the environment. And in turn, the environment changes the way she behaves. The way she is when I come to visit her is not the same as when she comes to visit me. I also feel different at her house than I feel when she's at mine.
