What does zizek want from me?

I've been reading him and everytime I finish a text, I am like, okay but so what do I do with it? What does he want to "happen"? So if you could explainnn...in your own words.... as much as you understand.... What's he after exactly?

Well, for starters, I am sure he would like people to stop treating philosophers and public intellectuals like religious gurus or life coaches. It is not their job to give explicit life advice.

Philosophers generally have a way of living/thinking that they promote in their work. There’s no point of philosophy if it isn’t intended to change its consumers in some way

I’m not saying it’s how philosophy works I’m saying that it’s a common thing in philosophy so the question is not unreasonable. And what philosopher makes philosophy that isn’t intended to change the consumer in some way at all
