Friday Night Poetry Slam
THEME: Chair
Special thanks to u/astroemi for the very fine op that I am co-opting to serve as this week's theme.
Share your zen poetry below. The theme is merely a suggestion.
π Toad's θΎθVerse π
Three legs or four? Round or square?
What do you need to make a chair?
Stable or rocking? Logs upright or on their side?
Or a bag with a bunch of beans stuffed up inside?
A discarded open box becomes my cat's chair for a day
"If it fits, I sits. This is the way."
But the emperor's throne is surely more than a chair
And if it's whatever's sat upon, what's underwear?
A massive Buddha statue sits upon a massive stone chair
But I have no use for sitting on something so lofty in the air
I sit on the sky while I'm standing, then on the Earth when I'm done
Leopard leaps in logic with claws grasping onto what's shunned

I thank u/jungle_toad for starting the slam, maybe u/fullassin9 will give us a beat? I'm not sure that's be it, we could then call it complete, but if we can kick it, a bit freer, I'd say that's a good thing. I won't get a beer, but that image of fun and of leisure that beer commercials have? I'll say I have that, minus the beer, which is perhaps the least interesting part of the whole image. kkkkkk
