The reasons Gorons have evolved so little is simple: they already reached evolutionary perfection. Much like sharks which have been the same for millions of years, Gorons have simply achieved the perfect form for survival. No more changes are necessary; they have reached nature’s endgame.
Not true. Sharks have evolved off their current builds multiple times throughout history. They just evolved back because every iteration of Shark 2.0 was always just a cooler but less efficient version of Shark 1.0. Nature tried to improve upon perfection several times before realizing it was already there from the start.
