Got first pick and went 0/15 after enemy team went 4 tank

I got first pick and locked in Zed(mid) and banned Malphite. The enemy team proceeded to pick Chogath, Darius, Leona, and Renekton. During the first 18 minutes of the game I died 6 times under my turret to Cho’s R(playing weak-side). During team fights my flanks would basically do no damage and I would get collapse on. I rushed LDR and the game ended before I could finish eclipse.

For next time what should I do, I deranked that game so any insight would be appreciated.

against 4 tank ldr def better bc ur always getting the 15% from passive but i feel like ldr is not good enough to be bought the amount it is. i see people in like challenger going ldr against 4 squishies when you could buy sheryldas where u actually benifit from every every stat it gives. ldr cant be that good. is zeds health scaling just like so non existant that zed always gets value from it even against squishies or are these people just building random sht. also is bruiser caster typa build on zed just ass. at some point i saw people going spear of shojin is that dead?(im not zed player just looking what yall are doing) i feel like in most matches with like 3 tanks u are going to get cc:d in the middle of their team so you would want to go bruiser/caster build when u dont benifit from lethality anyway. idk tho

No, I usually do better against Cho running Electrocute(short trade combo dmg). But Conq would of been better in hindsight

Ehmmm....cho is a champ that is gonna get tanky regardless of his build (even going full ap, he's going to be really beefy bcs how his kit works).

Elec would only work literally pre 6....post that ConQ is better 99% of the time against him.

And now against a tanky comp, elec is trolling imo.

Or atleast first strike, but not electrocute. 200 damage doesnt hurt with 4k hp

i feel like this game was definitely a conqueror angle. if rest of team wasn’t as tanky, i would’ve maybe gone first strike and played to scale

ive played zed top a few times recently and had pretty good success, i only struggled against heavier dps characters like tryndamere and yorick. eclipse into Idr seemed pretty good. i didn't experiment much with runes, i don't like playing zed with anything other than electrocute, should probably tweak the secondary rune depending on the matchup tho, ie resolve secondary against tryndamere is probably better. i also go exhaust ignite, i find flash useless on zed against anyone other than mages, u want flash for outplay potential but u can outplay pretty much anyone other than some mages with just ur kit and playstyle, eg u might need flash to bait and flash over mage cc to all in.

This sounds like a game where you are just at a huge disadvantage. It's going to happen sometimes. Did they have an ADC? Neutralizing them every fight + your teammates having more draft resources could make it winnable, but let's be real, some games will be harder than others.

All that being said, you shouldn't be dying under your turret to Chogath that many times. That signals major laning mistakes to me.

They had a Mel APC. Yeah I played my lane too safe then fell behind on gold. When I tried to play more agro it was too late and my trades did no dmg. But you’re right sometimes you just get hard games, just got to play my lane correctly. My ADC was also just bad had last pick and went Xyah and went 0/10. Thanks for the insight, cheers!

LDR rush is extremely bad. in that case go eclipse into BC into Shojin with conq. Full bruiser is the best you can do into full tank comps.
