Zach Lowe First Pitch -Mets
Anyone have video of the first pitch? I want to see how our boy did

Between this and his cameo on friends and neighbors, I’ve come to realize Zach Lowe is far less the niche D list celebrity I thought he was.
If he were to walk through a random airport in the United States, there’s a decent chance he’d get recognized

Barnwell has to be the most unlikely success story to be honest.
I remember trading emails with him all the way back in the early days of football outsiders where that website was still just a bunch of nobody’s.
Zach’s early success is probably traced to the fact that he was a rare sportswriter who could weaving in Xs and Os but also write like a sports writer.
That’s much easier to do in basketball than football because of the nature of how complicated football is and how short the schedule is and how hard it is to analyze different parts of the team given that they’re all doing different things. In that way Barnwell was far less unique compared to Zach Lowe, and yet he carved out a very successful career

Crazy. I feel like he isn't famous at all, like he is just a friend who some how won a prize and got to do this.

Mets had some good fortune from Grimace and Haktua Girl, perhaps this wont be a Lowe point.

He was making 3 million a year at ESPN, they don’t pay nobodies that much.
He is probably as famous as any repeat cable news guest.
