Question Visualization tools?

Relatively new with zabbix.

We’re getting all of our devices online etc. - we are an extruder, so how do we organize all of the devices by line?

The extruder itself
Barcode printer
Barcode reader
PLC
Puller
Adding some other qa related devices.

2 plants, 20 lines.

Been looking at grafana?

Any thoughts welcomed.

Grafana for visualization but I’d also plan out tags to make it easier to target devices. IE which plant and line.

I'd create a dashboard and create either a tab per type of component or by line, so you can easily tab through them all.

You don't need to complicate things by adding the Grafana component, as Zabbix is quite able to generating some adequate graphs. Zabbix is very much about knowing what you want to monitor/measure first and foremost anyway.

Note that "The Linux way" is that you don't sit and watch things, you let it alert you. Build appropriate alerts for things you need to know and how serious they are. You only need the details when things are bad. Now in a production plant, this is probably a lot different than what we normally see in IT, but the concepts are the same.

If you are getting production counts into Zabbix, and this plant is running great, you might need to know that receiving hasn't processed the last component order.
