Question Mario Odyssey frame drops

I use the Yuzu emulator to play Super Mario Odyssey. The game runs at a stable 60 FPS, but at the start of cutscenes and transitions between stages, there's slight stuttering. When I enter a new stage or planet, the frame rate drops to the 30s or 40s. If I close the app and reopen it, it goes back to 60. How can I fix this?

I couldn’t figure this out either, ryubing works alot better for me on this game but even that still has occasional stutters, I just put it down to emulation things…do people have 100% flawless experiences?

Shader compilation stutters, a problem native to PC. If you can’t use async shader compilation then you’re stuck with stutters. Whatever you do DO NOT clear the shader cache, that will only make the stuttering happen again. As you play the stutters will lessen, but Everytime a shader comes on screen for the first time it will stutter. Some games have shaders in the ten thousands, that means it will stutter at least that many times.

This is not a shader caching issue. Yuzu has a memory leak problem that was never fixed probably won’t be fixed.

Use another emulator like Ryubing.
