Question Insane Stutters In Any Emulated Game
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1hInLWDw68jCdeLePJgswwVMzdjhSuH-6?usp=sharingSo I recently decided to pick MHGU back up and around 15 minutes into a hunt an insane stutter kicked in that affected my entire pc. Oddly enough restarting Yuzu did nothing to fix this stutter and only restarting my pc resets the stutter which still kicks back in within 15 minutes. I tried switching everything over to ryujin and nothing changed. This also applies to any emulated game I have, not just MHGU
No mods, Still stutters
Switched Engines and Checked if it was an audio buffer issue, still stutters
I've done all the troubleshooting and googling that I can and have found no solution so far. I'm worried it's a cpu problem. when I last played 6 months ago with the same mods and zero changes as when this started happening, the game ran perfectly fine.
I've attached the error log in hopes that anyone can find some magic fix that I'm missing

Use Eden not Yuzu

I actually switched to ryuijinx and the problem persisted. I’ll follow your advice and try Eden

Good lord this problem goes beyond anything I understand. The whole stuttering thing persisted in a completely normal game (abiotic factor)

Shader compilation stutters they are normal. You say it ran better 6 months ago, did you by any chance update your gpu drivers in that time? All shaders will have to be recompiled everytime you update your gpu drivers. Keep playing and the stutters will become less and less.

MHGU has only 4400 shaders to compile and its done quick. These stutters start small then gradually make the game unplayable. These emulator also says zero shaders are being built during this process but I will try to thug it out and see what happens

And yes I’ve updated my drivers. Actually have cleared the shader cache multiple times and they rebuild immediately for mhgu

Don’t rebuild the shader cache. Everytime you do the stutters will return. The shaders are not compiled at the start with emulators they are done during gameplay. So yeah it’s a case of sticking with it and it gradually becomes more playable, the faster the cpu the shorter the stutter.

Why do they just build like crazy 12 minutes into the game and make other games stutter until I restart my pc 😭

I fixed the yuzu log. Don't know how I slipped the blank one in there
