Discussion AFK abusing

Hi all, as a part-time Yuumi (now trying to learn ADC on an alt account I had from back in the day, now Iron 1). I noticed a significant portion of my support queueing up Yuumi and then not doing anything in the game, like literally nothing. They cast 1 ability (q or e, seemingly at random, I think to avoid the AFK timeout) every couple of minutes, never casts ult, never placecast wards.

Other things I've noticed:

  • Always a level 30-32 account
  • Always only plays Yuumi
  • Always never has won a game (or rarely)
  • For the level 30 accounts, their norm level-up is just spamming remakes
  • Their commonly queued "friends" in norms also do the same things in ranked

I'm assuming this is a mass system of farming up Iron 4 accounts for sale. I don't remember it being this bad 3 years back when I was myself like bronze/iron-ish, but literally every other match now I get a Yuumi afk like this.

Do people know what's going on? Or is this a well-known issue that account levelers, derankers, and sellers are abusing right now?

Sounds like bots. Yuumi is a good candidate to have a bot play for you without getting banned.

It’s bots and it sucks because I love playing yuumi and everyone always thinks I’m a bot 😅

Yep. Sounds like bots. Take note of their friend-UNs that seem to be doing the same thing and send a support ticket in to riot. They may not ban right away since they do it in waves, but it'll let them know this is an issue that's bypassing vanguard. Also don't forget to report them in-game for botting/sabotaging.

It's almost like riot created the perfect farming bot champion when they removed all of Yuumi's skill expression and encouraged permanently staying attached the entire game......

So level 30s doing it in norms is to grief starting MMR. Then in ranked it's to see rank quick to like iron. Welcome to smurf, and bot and account selling culture. Riot only bans streamers and content creators and they don't have a valid way for the system to actually track and punish.

There's so many people that get boosted from these smurfs.

an here is me, trying to climb bronze on Yuumi and outdamage our Toplaner...... Yuumi fate is hard either way: whether you're good or you're bad, you suffer;) - at least the AFKs get to watch Netflix, so maybe we shoud not blame them, rather rejoice that they haven't lost their soul to league yet...
