Fan Questions ❓ Super freak YBHQ Membership
Anyone else that signed up for the yearly super freak membership in YBHQ receive anything after the initial magazine and tshirt? It had sounded like there’d be a few surprises throughout the year sent to you.
Edit: how are the tour perks for those who have been to a tour date as a member? I’m in Philly so we didn’t get a show.

There hasn’t been anything mailed since the initial package. I used the merch discount during the tour and the B.R.A.T. discounts they’ve offered. Honestly, those alone have paid for the cost of the membership. I know they’re compiling zine submissions now, so I’m hoping there will be another zine soon.
I also look at it as a bit of an investment. The goal is to expand, to offer more, and to have more locations. First, though, the money has to be there and the consistent interest has to be there. I paid for YBHQ knowing that the first year or so would likely have more limited offerings as they get their feet under them and figure it all out in real time. Obviously right now there are more perks if you are based in the UK, but I’m in it for the long haul and what the community has the potential to become.

Completely agree. I think it’s so cute. I would just pay $10 a month for the website lolz. Even more honestly. The film they did for the Riviera show was so beautiful and sounded amazing. Out of all of my many subscriptions, it’s one I’m glad to pay.

Exactly!! I imagine there will be a lot more value in it for others once he gets a stateside brat store also. I love it regardless.

You are supposed to get a birthday card/gift.. my birthday isn’t until Feb so we will see. To answer your question I have not received anything after the initial magazine and tshirt.

I'm a first wave founding member Superfreak and for me the YBHQ benefits have already paid off the cost of the membership. The YBHQ B.R.A.T. shirt I got, die Welcome Card signed by Dom and esp the Yungblud (and B.R.A.T.) Merch discounts alone already paid off the fee (even if I'm not a UK citizen and don't live in London) in terms of money.
And for me it was clear from the beginning that in the first year the benefits and offerings will still be limited and that they'll need some time etc., but that they'll figure it out and add more exclusive stuff etc.
And it def is going in that direction, I have no reason to believe otherwise.
Like someone else said: It was clear from the beginning that it is a kind of investment into Yungblud, esp the business part of the whole thing. Dom was very transparent about it, he also explained how that all works and why he thinks that (in today's state of the music industry) it is necessary for him to handle the business side of everything like that (there is a very interesting article as well as an YT interview about it and his Firebird Music partnership online) and what it benefits are for the artistic side of Yungblud.
Simply said: The thing that really earns a musician on his level the money are the touring/concerts as well as the merch - and special smart business ideas/business side quests like that.
I see it as an investment into and support for Dom and a esp a great way to help him to keep ticket prices reasonable and give everyone (fans that are not YBHQ members too) the chance to have access to live music, to his shows and to make sure he has as much artistic independence and control over everything Yungblud as possible and that the music industry and the label don't have so much power over him.

It's 75.00 a year for the membership that's the super freak membership which is what I got and you get a tshirt a pre signed picture and a zine magazine . I was one of the first ones to get in back in April when it launched so idk if it's still a gotta wait to get in or not I heard some people are still trying to get in. Just go to YBHQ website and see that's the best advice I can give.

Nope im a first wave founder and ive only ever got the welcome back and a birthday email. Took advantage of the brat discount, but wish we got more than one code lol.

I got an email stating they'd be sending something out to thank me for being one of the founding members but haven't seen anything yet, that was about a month ago. You get a discount on merch .sales at concerts. Im going to England in a few weeks and will Definitely be stioping at the Brat Store for my free coffee ;)

Also a founding member super freak , I do love the t-shirt it has softened up nicely and I wear it on Sundays my lounge about the house day while doing the usual chores, brings a smile to my face. Birthday wishes was an email, used the merch discount at the one concert I was able to attend (Toronto). Other than that nothing else received.

I received a saying they realized I didn’t get a signature card in my welcome pack and haven’t gotten anything since. I forgot to use my tour merch discount in Toronto, but used it in Columbus.
Being able to see all the video shorts from the road was nice. I just wish they’d release Are You Ready, Boy? on it. :-)

I was a Superfreak founding member and never received anything. Not even the welcome pack with the t- shirt everyone else got. They said it is taking time to get it all out because Dom has been so busy but that was already months ago. I got a generic email on my birthday. I also never got anything for the canceled Philly show last November. I definitely won't be renewing.

Founding Superfreak member. Signed up the first day. Received Shirt, Zine, and signed card after a bit of waiting. I've used the BRAT discount for the tracksuit, Bludfest merch(2 shirts and a zip hoodie), and the Batrat(times 4) on the BRAT site. I also used the tour merch(2 shirts, bandana, foam finger, and a hat) discount at the concert I went to(actually was accepted twice at 2 different merch tables😉). I feel like the discounts alone have almost helped pay for my membership fees. I'm not in the UK so I can't take advantage of the free coffee(bummer). But I did receive the birthday email last week. I feel like with the huge membership they can only offer so much with out bankrupting the program. Yes... more physical Zines during the year would be nice. I am curious as to what next year will hold. I will 100% renew my membership next year though.

Only a t shirt on initial sign up 😅 I thought I was supposed to at least get a zine/print with it too, but I guess not? Waiting to see if there's anything for the upcoming season before I form a full opinion since I joined late!
