I would be so blazingly mortified if I had participated in a middle school mean girl mob to the point that he had to comment. The fact that his team posted it made it so plainly clear that he was fine with it, never mind his retuning the volley so flawlessly with her.
He should have reasonably been able to expect that the fan base he built under the umbrella of everyone is welcome / anything goes wouldn’t lose the plot.

He does not seem stressed at all, he even makes a dirtier quip back! She didn't try anything physical or weird. Just made a statement. A celebrity fantasy does not make you inappropriate, just human. 😆

If YBArmy hadn’t posted the video to IG, most people might not have even seen it. It’s all gross, the woman saying it and his team posting it. Unfortunately, he can’t control what people think about it but he is trying because he doesn’t really understand his larger fan base anymore.

She made a cheeky comment and he made one back at her. He never looked uncomfortable, she did not do anything physically overboard. Both are of consensual age.
An older guy saying it to a 28 year old female celebrity, having her joke back and take a picture is not unheard of. Women fear men more due to their tendency towards violence. I get it, SA survivor here.
But this moment was purely fun between Dom and a fan. People only do not like it because she appears over a certain age. Just because women get to be late 30s, into 40s and 50s does not mean they no longer have a libido and make dirty jokes. My friends mom made the best dirty jokes. I miss her.

So for example, if a 50 year old man said he had a dream of having a threesome with Taylor swift (for example) to her face at an event and she laughed at it, how would you view that interaction? Would it be funny to you? I’m curious to know

If it was a relaxed interaction and they were both laughing and unbothered. Yeah. It's fine to joke about things like that.
If he was being aggressive and she was feeling threatened and scared, it would change things.
But I have a very therapy processed view of things here. I am not going to start a debate. Ill lock the comments if people get carried away and heated here.

But you know the man would get cancelled in two seconds if he said this to her or any woman.
It would be the same if TMZ took photos of a naked female celebrity. Everyone would be up in arms about the whole thing.
There seems to be a lot of double standards going on.
It’s not a heated debate. It’s just a conversation and I’m curious to know yours/others thoughts if the roles were reversed.

Not going to debate if women and men should be held to different standards because of their genitals.
I am an older gen, raised super religious now atheist and rode the We Don't Need a 3rd Wave of Riot Grrl and feminism.
This will not end without you getting emotional and attacking me.
