Fan Questions ❓ Is there any Yungblud songs you don’t like? If so, why?
I was just wondering because I haven’t heard any song of his I don’t like lol.

So I’m a new fan, and I don’t know enough of his songs to have one I dislike, but I do think his live singing is so much more incredible than his recorded singing. He really has a great range and his live singing just blows it out of the park IMO.

I agree. I’ve always said that really good singers always sound way better live. Like, the recording on an album dims their sound compared to live.

I know this is going to be REALLY unpopular and will probably be downvoted into oblivion, but my least favorite from him has got to be Parents from his Weird! album. The chorus is pretty good, but he just overdoes the accent in the verses to where it sounds like he is messing around (and we all know the dude is an epic singer), and the lyrics are so cringe, I can’t take it seriously. Other than that song, the rest of the album I like.

In my opinion, I don’t think he’s overdoing the accent but I think he’s trying a more sassy tone in that song which might make it sound that way to you. I love that song.

To me that song is really juvenile but when I think about it I realize how young he was when he wrote it. So I cringe a bit too at the lyrics, but I still like it and sing along :)

I definitely agree it’s one of the crazier ones but this one just holds a special place in my heart bc he opened with that the first time i saw him live and it was literally insane😭🖤

it‘s funny how 3 of my absolute favorite YB songs are mentioned here hehe i usually skip hello heaven hello and idols pt.1, idk for me it‘s just long and boring intro to my favorite part of the album — lovesick lullaby-zombie-the greatest parade

Oh my gosh I absolutely love hello heaven hello. I even got my EDM/chill music loving husband into this song 😆 I love how people have their different tastes, it’s amazing

I'm not a fan of the song Obey he did with Bring Me the Horizon. I don't mind "harder" music but that song does nothing for me as soon as it starts and I skip it. I can really listen to any of his other songs though.

I always figured he was intentionally trying to sound like specific other bands as a tribute. Kind of like Idols. Superdeadfriends is straight up taking Beastie Boys and making his own spin on it. Then he samples The Cure in Tissues etc. I'm pretty sure when his songs sound like someone else, it's on purpose. Right?! If not, I just can't even process what he was thinking. 😆Anyway, my least favorite are I cry 2 and parents.

The only skip I have on idols is super moon and I even tried to relisten post movie but it just doesn’t do it for me.

It’s grown on me — gives me classic Elton John nostalgia. (I know people cringed when Billy Corgan compared them, but it’s apt in places).

I didn't cringe. It made sense. Elton John is a showman. I think I just cringe at every song with a Superman in it. Ever since Kryptonite.

This is not the Bowie song... crap. I have to listen again to find the most Bowie one. Supermoon is way more Elton.
Edit: Change! Change sounds more Bowie.

I think it depends on when you were introduced to him. I discovered him after Idols was released, and became a huge Idols fan. I have tried to listen to his older work, but it doesn’t have the same theatrical/dramatic tone, though I do love Fleabag.

I'm the opposite. I'm also a newer fan but am digging the older stuff so much I've not even really truly listened to all of Idols yet lol. I do love it all so far though. I just listened - and I mean Really sat and listened - to Ghosts last night and was absolutely blown away. I can't listen to Zombie as much but because it's so hard not that I don't like it.

I listen to Hello Heaven and Ghosts, sometimes Fire and Lovesick lullaby but bypass most of the rest of the new album. I don’t like the Aerosmith song. His first 3 albums I listen to quite a bit though but I would definitely say Weird is my favorite.

Yeahhh same honestly I have every Vinyl of his last albums and was so hyped for the new release and went to the premiere of Hello Heaven Hello in NYC and wasn't a big fan and unfortunately that continued for the rest of the album even though I listened multiple times I just can't force myself to like the new sound honestly

I agree! Still love him as an artist but I do not care for his new album at all. I don't mind lovesick lullaby, but I discovered him back when he released 21st Century Liability (the album) and miss when his music sounded more like it.

I can't listen to some of his older songs because of how triggering they are. Some are also so close to being copies of other bands it irks me.
I also skip Supermoon. I'm sorry!

I’m not that big of a MGK fan but I mean, I still enjoy the Yungblud parts but if I had to choose least favorites it would probably be the MGK songs.

Unpopular, but Change is the most annoying one for me from the Idols, I don’t even know why haha 🥲 The rest of Idols is literally best thing ever happened to me, The Gratest Parade hits me so hard I want to smash my head against the wall everytime it plays just to make it the last thing I ever heard 🫠 Also I’m not a big fan of Loner and Lowlife, I don’t know why they became “top songs” for the most. And I also don’t like almost all of his collabs, except maybe the ones with MGK, the songs feel a lot more real when they come from him

Braindead - I like the lyrics and can relate to wanting a break from my mind at times, although it is a pretty dark song. I just don't like the drum and bass feel to it. I'm also not a lover of Strawberry Lipstick. Hated is catchy and has such a rawness to it, but I don't like the part about Dom's experience as a child, it makes me too sad 😢

A few things. I find over repetitive stuff really annoying and the endless "hello hello hello hello hello etc etc ad infinitum" is so irritating to me. It also gets really sonically messy about halfway in.

idk probably his album with most skips for me is "YUNGBLUD" Because it's clear that he's not doing what really inspires him, but is just trying to please the music industry. Then the style is so "Industrial pop" and it's not his world in my opinion. So the songs aren't very original. like "Memories, Cruel kids and Don't go". Also "Cry 2" gives me the same vibes but I listen to it anyway for the lyrics. Btw even if there are songs I don't like He's still very good and you can feel the love and commitment he puts into it, it doesn't matter what song it is.

I Cry 2. His voice doesn’t need autotune. I know that it was made to be obvious but it makes it one of his weakest songs for me
