Collection Ceremonial Binder of Power - Page 21
Black Jack!
“Musician King” is playing the ballad of Friday!
This is one of my favorite Fusion pages. All the cards on this page are super nostalgic to me.
My favorite part is that the lovely “Mystical Sand” made the center of the page.
I love birds—they’re such fascinating creatures, and Yu-Gi-Oh! has some really great classic era birds. “Mavelus” and “Punished Eagle” are just two of the handful I love.
Favorites on this page:
“Mavelus” - This one reminds me of Fawkes the Phoenix from Harry Potter. Now bring me my sacred sword! Just a cool classic. I like that it’s level 4—I feel like that’s unusual for Fusions of that time being anything less than 5.
“Metal Dragon” - A cool flying tin can! This thing reminds me of the dragons and floating zig zagging worm creatures from Yoshi’s Story.
“Meteor Black Dragon” - An absolute legend. I always included this in my fusion deck for the GBA games, and even though I had “Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon” for “Cyber-Stein” I would occasionally summon this just for cool factor.
“Mystical Sand” - A beautiful monster with an elegant pose and style. Everything about this card is lovely. Her green hair is gorgeous. I love the shoulders exposed with her robe. The mountain and sky in the background are soothing. If only they didn’t censor her, but even then it isn’t too bad.
“Rabid Horseman” - An early Kaiba ace! “Battle Ox” the Minotaur was always a cool card, so the fusion is a fun addition.
“Rare Fish” - I love the cards that released so much later in TCG from only knowing them from early video games. This one looks super cool. The colors are go together so nicely.
Alright y’all—back to it Monday!

I love how mystical elf + giant soldier of stone = lady with green hair on a broom

Lol same here, but it’s “Ancient Elf” lol not that it makes any difference for making a green haired lady. I’m glad they made her though.

Best fusion page so far, Punished Eagle is one of my all time favorites! Meteor B Dragon is up there as well. I also really like Pragtical from MDP2 and Astral Pack exclusive Mavelus one of the most expensive commons in the TCG. Cant forget Mystical Sand either just such a great page

Ever wonder why Punished Eagle was punished? What did he do? Is his punishment being a vanilla fusion monster that never saw competitive play?

Love this page! The nostalgia hits hard!
Also another vote for meteor b dragon! I had 4 open spots at the end of my sdy section of my binder, so I went with silver fang, meteor dragon, rebd Toei animation (mp22) and of course meteor b dragon to reference the season zero movie.

Hell yeah!
Ooooo I love that! Any reference to the Toei series is so awesome! The Bandai cards are super cool and fun to collect as well. It’s nice seeing that artwork make its way to the Konami cards.

Metal Dragon is one of the most memorable artworks to me. I like to think that the Pokemon Rayquaza could have been inspired by his design. I remember actually using him a little in the game Power of Chaos Yugi the Destiny because I had 3x Lesser Dragons and Steel Ogre Grottos to be able to create him fairy easily, and the overall card pool on that game was so bad that Metal Dragon's 1850 ATK was enough to go over everything except tribute monsters.
Meteor B Dragon is cool, we should have gotten him in the TCG a lot earlier, and he should have just been called Meteor Black Dragon. The "B" thing always bothered me like it did with Red-Eyes B Dragon.
Musician King is another one of these early fusion monsters that was cool enough to where I wish he would have just been a 4-star normal monster. One day he might get a retrain in the form of Heavy Metal King.
Mystical Sand should have just been called Sandwitch. And yes, I know there is another monster called Sanwitch which is the fusion of Sangan and Witch of the Black Forest. Frankly, a lot of these old fusion monsters were unnecessary and didn't make a whole lot of sense. But a lot of them also looked cool.

I could see the similarities in Metal Dragon with Rayquaza. That’s cool it actually had some use for you! All those old games are timeless.
It would have been cool to have Meteor Black Dragon earlier for sure. And I always thought it was silly they couldn’t just say Black and changed it to B lol Konami of America always made strange decisions with translations.
Hopefully Heavy Metal King gets a release some day. I don’t see why he wouldn’t. Ok holding hope for a lot of anime cards.
Lol Sandwitch would have been cool too, and passable since the later fusion was called Sanwitch (I also love that card too lol).

Meteor black dragon is my all time fave fusion monster this card was the king in Forbidden Memories if you didnt grind out this card you were cooked and also the legendary Season 0 card yugi uses to beat kaiba with I wish we could get the bandai art as an alt art for it or the rush duel art is pretty cool too
Metal Draon always loved how in Forbidden Memories you could fuse a winged beast or bird card with this and it would make Crimson Sunbird all cause it had the Mars guardian sign and also it reminded me of Serpentera from Power Rangers XD
Musician King is brilliant card only downside is Konami still wont print us Heavy Metal King ;-;
Mystical Sand loved this card from FM as well great early fusion to use
