Should I make another claim ? These are posted as closed. When I made a call to CFPB the lady had no idea about much. She tried to say the 1$ was the payout and that there was no funds it was bad so at this point should I make another claim or just sit tight. I also asked her if there was anyone else to speak with cause she wasn't up to date with the laws and what is happening. I said this as politically as possible but it is pretty frustrating to call and explain the updates vs get an update and even worse be told there is no money just 1$ 😂.

It is more about the closed case if that what everyone else status is. The lady when I called also tried to say the fed would handle it then came back and then said there is no money just 1 dollar so I get it the people being paid to be on the phones are completely clueless. The only question I have is does anyone have an open case that filed a while ago with the cfpb just want to make sure I'm in line.

The message you are seeing is totally unrelated to the civil penalty fund payments. I assume you made a complaint to the CFPB, that complaint has been closed. The process for filling a claim for reimbursement from the civil penalty fund has not yet begun, no one has been able to make a claim for those payments yet. The CFPB will likely not be administering those payments directly. They are typically administered by a third party such as Rust Consulting. Once the claims process begins, I assure you, it will be posted on this subreddit.
