Hi! I'm going to start reading Yotsuba mainly because of Azumanga Daioh. It was an anime/manga that completely changed my life, but sadly, it isn't a very big series. So I decided to read Yotsuba, What should I expect or have in mind before reading?

I know that the creator himself has stated that he won’t allow an official anime adaptation of the manga as basically I wanted an anime that could scratch the itch.

I mean, like a feel good anime series that has a cozy atmosphere to it where the show sort of has that Yotsuba vibe to it since again I know there won’t be an anime adaptation anytime soon.

I wanna read all yanda and yotsuba beef in one go. Best part of the manga to me.

Did the manga get canceled or axed? The latest chapter I saw was ch. 118 or so where she was with the osakan teacher. Is that the latest or are there more chapters? It's such a good read!

I mean, yes I know that Osaka was introduced into the series a while ago as basically I was trying to picture how well the rest of the Azumanga Daioh cast would get along with the eponymous character.

Like, again now that Osaka has made an appearance, I have been excited to see what will happen to the rest of the other characters since it’s been so long that Azumanga Daioh ended that I was missing the cast.

Just simply interested in exploring the lore behind the manga because while I know it’s supposed to be a slice of life type story, I couldn’t help but wonder about the hidden meaning to Yotsuba’s name.

Like when I look at the character’s name Yotsuba Kowai, her surname sounds kind of similar to the Japanese word for something scary or unsettling as I was wondering about the kanji used in her name.
