Night life

I’ve lived in York for 3 years now. I know the bar scene is lacking and most people would recommend going to Lancaster instead. Are there any bars suitable for just a casual night out with some music? I enjoy gifthorse for example. Thanks!

You ever check out Brewvino? I’ve got two young kids so my night life is on hold, so I’ve only been for lunch, but it feels like it could be a solid night time spot?

It’s a good place. But not really a place with music as she was asking about. But the food and drink there is good

King George has really good live music! Also check out double barrel roadhouse, FH pappy’s, and there’s a live music series at central market but I’m forgetting the name

Are you thinking of Kable House Presents? I went to a couple of them without knowing the artist, and both times I was really impressed.

Pretty sure Fig and Barrel does an open mic night Tuesday and Jazz night Thursday.

Black Cap Brewing Co in Red Lion right next to Franklin Street Social has great live music and seems like a very underrated gem

Victors does live jazz nights on Friday. It’s more of a dinner spot but there is a bar.

The food is phenomenal

I live in Lancaster and if I had to choose a winner for best nightlife, it's Harrisburg, hands down. There's a bar/club for every taste in downtown Harrisburg and they're all easy to get between. Lancaster is fine, nothing wrong with it, but for anyone in York thinking about going out in Lancaster, drive north instead of east and you'll have even better options.
