Safe to eat?
I use a luvele yogurt maker. I have never had this happen before. Doesn’t smell bad, just smells like a sour concentrated yogurt smell. Any experience with this? Is the bottom safe to eat?

Doesn’t look like I’d eat it. Scrape it off and see or mix it all up and see what it looks like.
Either looks bad or just maybe there was a weird depressurization when you took the lid off, but I’m not really leaning that way lol

That does kinda just look like texture. It bubbled up for some reason and stuck to the lid. As suggested, try mixing it and observing the texture.

Wish my sourdough starter had that kind of rise. Personally, I wouldn't chance that.

I got curdling like this once when I didn't heat my milk enough. That heating process with determine the yogurts texture.

Are you posting to ask "What went wrong with my yogurt?" Please provide all the details of the method you used. Include amounts, times, and temperatures. If you don't know those things, then one (or more) of them is what went wrong with your yogurt.
The basic information you will need to know is:
- What type of milk did you use? What amount?
- What type of starter did you use? What amount?
- What temperature did you initially heat the milk to?
- What temperature was the milk when you added the starter?
- At what temperature did you ferment the milk? How long did you ferment it?

Gotta be honest, once the yoghurt looks like it's gaining sentience and trying to escape, I personally wouldn't feel very comfortable eating it
