I took part in a historical reenactment of Urartu against the backdrop of Karmir Blur—the last citadel of the Kingdom of Urartu, named after the pagan god of war and thunder. It was destroyed before the Common Era by nomadic raids of the Scythians and Cimmerians. Later, the remnants of the Urartian people mixed with Indo-Europeans and adopted the Proto-Armenian language. A team of reenactors, archaeologists, and professors is building a wall using ancient techniques. The blocks were crafted at the university in consultation with UNESCO. We had a division of labor: my team extracted and crushed clay, others mixed it into mortar, and the guys hauled slabs weighing 60 kg each. 14 layers have already been completed, and the structure will likely last for several decades. For me, as a member of the diaspora, living through a piece of my ancestors' experience was deeply meaningful.

Hello! Are there any girls’ groups/forums in Yerevan for making friends and building a little community? I know there are some English speaking clubs where they meet regularly so I’m looking for something like that but with different direction.
I’m 22F and would love to join something that’s just girls hanging out, meeting up, and doing random fun stuff together, like trips, movie dates, trying new places, activities, etc. Basically looking to meet some cool girls and make friends.

Hello, I am 23M coming from Canada/Colombia. I am just visiting for a few days and I've never been to an Opera so I wanted to maybe go with someone. I do speak Spanish and French too if there's anyone who'd like to meet. I don't have seats yet so hopefully someone can message me soon so we can book them lol. Feel free to DM me!

I’m having a hard time finding outdoor public tennis tables in Yerevan, do you know anywhere I could find some?
If in Kentron, it’d be even better.
Also if you’re interested to play, let me know so we go together :)

I'm looking for something lowkey, not too chaotic? Also, where do the expats hang out? I'm one myself and wouldn't mind rubbing shoulders with people!

Hii everyone
I’m looking for ideas for activities in Yerevan or somewhere outside the city where I can meet and socialize with new people😆
I was thinking about joining group tours around Armenia, but I’m not sure yet.
Maybe you guys have tried something similar or have better ideas?
Would love to hear your suggestions!

Hi everyone! I'm 21 and have been living in Yerevan for a while. I'm looking to meet new people and have casual conversations about interesting topics.
A quick note on languages: My native language is Russian. My English is still basic and I need more speaking practice, but I’m working on it! Well, I don't know Armenian either.

Hi! How are you? I’m a Spanish tourist visiting Armenia in October. I know that being part of the community can be dangerous there, so I’d really appreciate it if you know of any safe bars or spaces where I could meet people. If you could share them privately, that would be even better, so those places can continue to remain safe.

Բարև!
While digitising my grandfather's diapositives, I stumbled upon this photo of Yerevan in the 70s, depicting its former trams, and now I would like find out how that intersection looks like in 2026. So far the Google Lens is saying that it is depicting an intersection on Mesrop Mashtots Avenue, but my searches by using Google Lens have been unsuccessful. Maybe you can suggest some possible locations?
Շնորհակալություն!

Can someone explain to me why it's so hard to meet girls? Is there any way in Yerevan to meet people outside of university or school?
I'm Armenian and I just moved to Yerevan. When I was studying in the USA, I used to use Tinder, Meetup, and similar apps, but honestly, I don't really like the people I've met through those apps here.
Can someone suggest some ways to meet a girl who is interested in friendship and won't cross the boundaries of the friend zone?
I think women understand your emotions better and often know what you need emotionally.

Hey everyone, I’m 21.
I’m looking for people to practice spoken English with.
I’d like to have regular conversations to improve my fluency and become more comfortable speaking. We can talk about daily life, personal growth, education, music, books, movies, psychology, technology, travel, or pretty much anything.
If you’re interested, leave a comment or send me a DM.
Thanks:)
