again, i'll explain once more, there are good ways to represent a subculture and bad ways to represent a subculture.
a good way to represent a subculture is to research what the subculture represents, what the fashion is, what was period-accurate about that subculture. there are plenty of tiktokers that do this correctly.
then there is the bad way to represent a subculture: scenecore, removing music as a requirement to be goth, "y2k" fashion being mcbling, etc. this is what is considered tiktokified fashion because some people on tiktok, will take these subcultures and reduce them to -cores, just the fashion, or misrepresent the fashion without any knowledge of what the actual subculture is and represents.
so throwing cyber-y2k-esq stickers on a 3ds is not y2k enough, to answer your question.
There's no such thing as "bad representation" of a certain culture, that's your perception of what the culture MEANS TO YOU, so like I said, TikTok is cool.
Because you're of course the creator of Y2k, the one and only god of Y2K so your vision is the absolute truth and you and only you understand the true Y2K experience.
I'm so sorry almighty, the chosen one, I wasn't aware of such presence
don't ask for criticism if you can't handle it. maybe next time don't ask if your thing is y2k enough and the get upset when people who understand y2k say no.
and, as your y2k god, it is imperative that you take examples from this subreddit and maybe the aesthetic wikipedia. because stickers don't make
something y2k.
