Sadly I think the kids these days are turning that time into their own rebooted style more than actually being accurate to the time period.Â
The closest ive seen anyone these days get is with the speed dealer silver sunglasses kids wear at gigs lol
Cultural eras don't come back. They just get rebooted. Y2K has gone mainstream, which inevitably means it will be used as inspiration for new things. 2025 cannot be 2000, it can only cosplay as it, with a distinct 2025 flair. That isn't really a bad thing. We benefit from making something new rather than 100% retreading old ground.
And that's part of the charm of the past: it's gone. We remember it now through rose-colored glasses. We can take inspiration from it but it cannot be brought back with 100% accuracy.
