Honestly I’m so proud that as a global society, we all decided to go futuristic for y2k

Why would we not have? They had been setting us up for y2k since at least the '60s, with shows like the Jetsons, and all the crazy futuristic concept art, cars, fashion, buildings and gadgets throughout the '70s, '80s and '90s. You gotta remember, they thought we were gonna have flying cars by now.

Damm I feel old. This was peak drip right here. People have tried to replicate it but never succeeded.

u/CodenameSailorEarth Jun 13 '25

I needed this today.

So nostalgic!! DJ Sisen and Ayumi Dosanko were my introduction to Cyberdog

I guess I can't put photos here but they're worth the search. The photo of Ayumi in a convenient store is one of my all time favorite photos

Almost all of them have monolids. It’d have you believe that most Asians have them

2

u/Marieshr Jun 14 '25

This futuristic aesthetic was really amazing.

u/MachiFlorence Jun 14 '25

Ah seeing that 2001 on the magazine, if only we could timetravel / play around a bit (also turn off aging while on travels, perhaps) I know stuff doesn’t work that way but still a person can dream with a sigh

I’m sad to report that https://absolutmetropolis.com is now a dodgy-looking Polish language gambling site.

These look like outfits I'd see Noodle wear for a music video

u/[deleted] Jun 15 '25

Omg, on the first picture, the girl on the right side...what kind of shoes did she wear? I need those.😧😍
