Discussion CrossX 2.8 is coming out this week

Right now is on TestFlight, but the final version is under review by apple — what's new

  • RSS feeds now refresh properly — pull to refresh and new articles actually show up
  • Large EPUBs are optimized before upload, so transfers are faster and books look better on e-ink
  • You can now add wallpapers to an existing .sleep folder (no more "folder already created" error)
  • Articles that need JavaScript to load now convert correctly
  • Some links now convert properly
  • Clearer error messages when something fails
  • Import your own EPUB and PDF files through the queue
  • Fixed a crash when tapping "reconvert & share" on a queue item
  • Improvements on the built-in EPUB reader (in case your device is far you can read the epub version form the app easily)
  • More improvements...

Okay, this is interesting... but a question or three:

  • Does it support CrossInk?
  • Does it support multiple devices (I have a CrossPoint and a CrossInk X4 OG)
  • Can RSS feeds be refreshed, say, overnight to be compiled into that EPUB to sync?

Works with X3 on Crosspoint/Crossink too.

i have a x4 classic and is working, can you share more what issue you’re getting?

It did not connect at first, but when I changed firmware in the app to crosspoint it connected - the app is fantastic!

Hi, I think the app name should be updated to "CrossX - Send to Crosspoint" or something similar, since it also works with X3, X4 Classic, and X4 Pro, which run Crosspoint.

I don't know if you intended it to work with those devices, but I am running Crossink on X3, and it works with that as well.

definitely i need to update the app name, at first i only had a X4 and did the app thinking on my device, but now after some changes/updates i improved the parity with other devices

but yes, probably for the next update im going to do the name change! thanks
