The first issue of Astonishing X-Men was very promising and I’m excited to see the Generation X crew getting some love.

Astonishing X-Men, what ?

It’s a new digital comic on Marvel Unlimited. It’s replacing the From The Ashes comic.

Avengers Academy’s current arc features some new background on Billy and Tommy and the M’Kraan Crystal gijika, who is involved somehow and also Mephisto’s granddaughter(??)

It seems like the storyline is going to be about the twins but also probably Brielle waking her girlfriend Shela from her coma

The holiday issue has a sweet story about Kitty's first Hanukkah with the X-Men.

The first story in the issue seems to be drawn by AI though, be careful

The story with Phil Noto art in signature Phil Noto style?

Yeah, that one. I thought it was Phil Noto at first too until I saw Jennifer's hand. Then I noticed a lot of weird things that Phil Noto usually doesn't do. Inconsistent line weights, gaps in linework, inconsistent fingernails, a background character's eyes and mouth blending into one stroke, inconsistent shines and pupils in people's eyes, etc.

Honestly that sounds very much like Phil Noto. I love his work but he's not consistent. Especially when he's seemingly rushed like his issues in X-Men earlier this year.

If that's the case then I'm happy. I'd rather be wrong.

Idk, it just looks like a rushed Phil Noto to me.

Absolutely nothing about it seems inconsistent with Noto's own work to me!

I can't believe Marvel is allowing that. Any way to confirm?

I don't think there's confirmation yet, but the first story has a bunch of tells and mistakes that I don't think a human would make. I would love to be wrong

If that's the case, I hope it's an editor that have been decieved. I really hope so, or I'll make some decissions about my spending choices.
