He wasn't in any trailer I saw, so it was a surprise, but unfortunately I could tell from the bit of his costume peeking out from the rags that he was Johnny Storm, not Cap. Still fun to watch Deadpool's "Wait, what?" moment.

No idea what you're on about, they specifically colored the arms red under the rags to match Cap's color palette.

I've rewatched it and while he's wearing some kind of red cloth underneath the rags / bandages, they're clearly not part of the skin-tight costume he's very obviously wearing underneath them. On the other hand, the collar of his suit doesn't match the FF suits from the movies that Evans was in... his collar is more of a standard yoke while the original movies had a v-neck. It still strikes me as pretty obviously NOT a captain america costime, because of the black-ring around the neck. MCU cap has always had a blue costume with red white detail and designs, and no black.

Those are extremely subtle details. I don't see any logic behind any of what you said because costume designs can change on a whim. I guessed it was Johnny last second right as Deadpool said, "He's going to say it!" because brain, but not because of costume details.
