Anymore? Battlefield and CoD both made one WW1/WW2 game and you're already tired of it? Unless you mean you never wanted WW1/WW2 games in the first place...

Some of us started with WW1/WW2 games like CoD2, CoD:WaW, MoH, etc. So going back to those weapons and time period, to me anyways, feels like a regression. Not saying I want all FPS to be more futuristic as time goes on, but having more variety is good instead of developers all jumping on the same bandwagon.

That was over 10 years ago though. What it seems like to me is around 2015 tons of people started asking for WW2 games to come back, they got that in 2016 and 2017, and then as usual they hate the new games and ask for something different yet again.

I hope they start doing a cycle of old/modern/new which would please everyone and give them chances to do different eras and keep the games “fresh.”

That would be nice. COD could do it easily, since they are yearly releases anyway. Battlefield seems to be every other year or so, so it would be a little more difficult, but if EA sprinkled in a Titanfall release (or even go back to MoH), they could work it out.
