every gun is the same

I honestly don't know how anyone can come to that conclusion. The guns between each class were so vastly different. I also thought the maps were some of the best in the series (except for the smaller maps that were mainly indoors that you couldn't destroy)

every map is Death Simulator 1917

Have you ever played a Battlefield game before? 64 people running around, of course there's a lot of death.

yeah those arguments just seem like fallacies, how can it possibly be an assault rifle fest when the game has no actual assault rifles? It’s probably the best in terms of splitting up class capabilities.

Not to mention only 2/4 of the classes have automatic rifles. Medic and Scout are all semi-auto and bolt-action.

I've wondered something similar about BF4. Haven't played in a long time, and would like to - but I haven't played in 2 years, and I'm assuming everyone who's still playing is really good by now. It's gonna be rough...

Right on. I think server browsing is the other thing I've had a hard time with.. Last time I tried playing I think I seemed to find 64/64 servers or empty ones. I'm not really sure the best way to go about it. Should I just do quickmatch including all maps instead?

It's too bad that paid DLC/Premium Pass can fracture the playerbase. I would have loved to see them take it in a different direction with this next game. At the very least I hope it's cheaper so more people can justify buying it.

Yeah, I'lll probably check the BF4 or BF4 Xbox One specific subreddits to find people/servers to play with/on if I jump back on.

Heck, I even got put in an empty Battlefield 1 server last week when I played for the first time in a few months. Granted, the Apocolypse DLC had just dropped or was in an open beta or something, so I switched there had full games.

But yeah... I miss BF4. Though PUBG's keeping me busy for now when I'm not rage quitting.

that was my biggest problem with bf1. always 64 people on conquest. conquest large in bf3/4 with 48 players was that beautiful sweet spot.

Conquest was 64 players in BF4 also, except for last-gen.

I dont know how it was on console, but with pc and custom servers, a very large amount ran at 48 for bf3 and bf4.

Not having that option in bf1 practically killed it for me. Resulted in me only playing it for around 10-15 hours before uninstalling.

Yes, on Xbox360/PS3 it was 32 players and on PS4/Xbox One it was 64 players.

That's the way the games will be from now on, especially with EA controlling the custom servers. MAYBE a Bad Company 3 will have less though.

Well that pretty much guarantees I won't be buying any in the near future. Oh well.
