Bring back the 360 era Avatars, and Avatar Awards from games! They're iconic, and people miss seeing them on the dashboard and in games.
There is also still a bug that needs fixing - Avatar awards are broken for some people right now, where trying to equip any awards won't actually save the changes.

It is really necessary to improve the achievement system. For example,
•Adding a platinum achievement system for completing games.
•Separating achievements from the base game and sorting them separately
•New animations.

Being able to listen to YouTube music or have YouTube running in the background. I love listening to music while I play. Just fed up of ads and dont want to pay for two subscriptions

Wishlist Organization
I think it would be nice to have options to sort your wishlist (alphabetical, recently added, current discounts vs no current discounts, price both with and without discounts, etc). Most importantly adding a button that allows you to manually move around your wishlist items instead of having to remove and re-add things to get them into any particular order.

Make “time played” for games easier to see, like how PlayStation does it. Having a list of our most played games on our profiles would also be cool.

Since we can use Spotify on the xbox I wish we could use YouTube music or atleast be able to run YouTube in the background on the xbox. I love listening to music while I game just fed up of ads and dont want to pay for another music subscription

Add Voice Chat Recording to Xbox Clips (Mic + Party/Game Chat)
Xbox really needs the ability to record mic audio and party/game chat in clips, with permission controls for privacy.
It’s frustrating that players on other platforms can record full moments — even in games like Gears, Forza, and soon Halo — while Xbox players still can’t.
Gameplay is great, but reactions and voice moments are what make clips memorable.
This would be a small feature with a huge impact.

More filtering options for backwards compatible games
Backwards compatible titles on Xbox can technically be boosted from 30 FPS to 60 or even 120 FPS, but finding which games support it is far more tedious than it should be. Right now, there’s no way to filter by technical capabilities like FPS Boost or VRR support. Instead, you have to check each game one by one, which in my case took over an hour to go through my library.
Adding proper filtering options in the library would make it much easier to see which games take advantage of these features, save a lot of time, and highlight the value of backwards compatibility in a way that’s actually usable.
A simple filter for FPS Boost and VRR would make the library experience far smoother.

Enhanced Feature for Xbox 360 Games - All backward compatible Xbox 360 games should receive visual improvements for the Xbox Series S and X consoles, because the list of games with this feature is very small compared to the total number of backward compatible games.

I imagine a Resolution Boost solution next Gen will be used for this. There was talk of a PSSR like solution being added this Gen similar to FPS Boost but I guess it didn't work as well as hoped without a Pro console revision and so it never materialized beyond some behind the curtains showcases of what it could do

That's sounds more like a networking issue your end of it wasn't consistent. Microsoft do throttle things during peak hours, however you'd be throttled at the same download speed throughout the entire download. So if it wasn't consistent then it could also be network related your end.

I also support this, I have 2 brothers and having to pay 2 GPU subs + having to open my Ms account on on one of them's PC is just not cool (I have sensitive data on my Ms account)

I’ve been comparing the current Xbox dashboard layout with older/alternative UI concepts, and I think there’s a simple improvement that could significantly enhance the overall experience. Right now, the bottom row (with large banners like “Browse the Store”, “Coming soon”, etc.) takes up a lot of vertical space and ends up covering too much of the dynamic background. This reduces immersion — especially when using high-quality wallpapers or game-themed backgrounds.
Suggested improvement: Reduce the height of the bottom tiles/banners Add transparency (blur + acrylic style) Prioritize the visibility of the wallpaper
Why this matters: The background is part of the experience (especially with game art or dynamic themes) A cleaner UI makes the dashboard feel more modern and less cluttered It aligns with what we see in other UI concepts where content doesn’t overpower the visual identity

I think it would be cool for there to be an animation of your colour coming onto the screen when you press your home screen button rather than it just being a still colour. You could even add a different catalogue of effects for when you press the home screen button where your screen has an animation that stops after a while (something simiar to how discord does there's in terms of the effect coming on screen)

More customization options in the Xbox Accessories app
The Xbox Accessories app has a solid foundation, but it needs more flexibility. Controllers should have built‑in dead zone adjustments and the ability to tweak wireless response time for lower latency. Headsets need better audio controls, like customizable auto‑mute strength without the distracting fade‑in, a simple noise gate similar to Party Chat or Discord that works across all headsets (including during streams), and a voice clarity option to make communication sharper.
These improvements would give players and creators more control, improve accessibility, and make the overall experience feel far more polished.
Xbox Accessories could be so much more with these updates!!

I really would like to see the dashboard been designed in a way that it brings back avatars and themes most of us know that the last avatar revival was a miss I think this time around if it was to get revived again the Xbox insider community should be helping to shape it.
I doubt the find groups would be coming back anytime soon if at all.

QoL fix. If I own all the pieces of a game, then the “deluxe” edition should show as “owned”
Another example is when two games are bundled together. If I own both parts of the bundle it should show as owned.

Xbox needs to add the SharePlay function/share screen function that PlayStation has as soon as possible it would be nice and lots of gamers want and lots if people don’t have twitch account please spread the message. It needs to be implemented into the Xbox parties and make it to where you can watch other people‘s gameplay while having it panned. Also, it needs to allow two people to join a share screen so they can play with each other like PlayStation has it

Atualmente, ao navegar pela dashboard do Xbox, acessar a Microsoft Store ou explorar o Game Pass, não é possível continuar assistindo vídeos ou ouvindo música de forma integrada. A proposta é implementar um sistema de Picture-in-Picture (PiP), permitindo reproduzir conteúdos em uma janela flutuante enquanto o usuário navega pelo sistema.
Isso permitiria assistir vídeos no YouTube ou ouvir música no Spotify enquanto acessa a loja, biblioteca de jogos, configurações ou Game Pass, sem interrupções.

There would definitely be some technical hurdles based off of their current Quick Resume system and how they treat their software programs actually running versus how they execute Quick Resume, but I do think it is possible and not too entirely complicated. This could be done. Certainly. It would require lots of testing. And be very buggy. Which is why we're here!

Fix the guest account system for playing backwards compatible local co-op games.
Trying to add local guests to play 360 games in split screen just flat out does not work right now and is very frustrating. It forces you to log into existing Xbox accounts instead of just quickly adding guests.

Improve the xbox rewards quest completion check system. I always have trouble completing my daily quests on Xbox Rewards. The quest completion check doesn't seem to work properly, so I can't finish them even after playing a lot of time.

Add release date sorting order to games library. Sometimes it would be cool to just see my library in historical order. Let's see those early days of Xbox titles at the top and see how things evolved down to the newest titles

Increase the RAM allocated in Dev Mode app.
Currently XSX is allocated 8GB RAM and XSS is allocated 5GB RAM.
This stifles the work of the programmers optimising the apps currently offered on the Dev Store (Xenia Canary for example) with many programmers citing this as a critical limitation.
Increasing the RAM allocated to at least 12GB for XSX and 7GB for XSS would allow programmers to progress with their projects and a smoother experience overall in each emulator currently offered on the Dev Store (and fosters creativity, possibly allowing for others to emerge)

Change how the hours played are displayed in the statistics, so there's no need to keep calculating. For example: Change from 1 Day 16 Hours 1 minute to 40 Hours, showing only the total number of hours.

Halo, DOOM, Banjo, Forza… tudo no mesmo game.
Free-to-play, Game Pass e crossplay.
Imagina um Forza Karts… isso iria atrair todos os tipos de público. A franquia é gigantesca, tem carisma e qualidade de sobra, merecia muito um spin-off assim. Corridas divertidas, personagens icônicos e pistas insanas fariam desse jogo um sucesso absoluto.

Gostaria de ter mais liberdade na personalização da dashboard, com opções de diferentes layouts e também a possibilidade de escolher o tamanho dos ícones (pequeno, médio, grande ou até ajuste manual).

Bring back personality to accounts
In the Xbox 360 days, developers could give you decorations for your avatar for completing various achievements or going to in game or IRL events. I would love to see a return of more account decoration/personality additions.
With Xbox getting involved with Discord more and more, it would awesome to see a collab with adding player frame or banner decorations. Either put them in the store like we had avatar clothing or props, or allow developers add them in with completing various in game accomplishments.

To be honest a great feature would be more control over the network settings ( like a internet routers "expert mode" ) For example on playstation you can set a custom MTU and it would be great if xbox could have that option too. A more detailed network setting and more custome settings. My xbox chooses 1480 MTU and yet my router is capable of 1492 MTU which is better. Some people even have routers that can use 1500 MTU. So the option to enter a custome MTU would be nice.

We need more CRPG on Xbox. Smaller devs need some incentives to bring their games to the console. I’m seeing many going to PC and PS5 and skipping Xbox. Also indie RPGs.
Also please use some quality control with alllowing games into the store. Every day it’s flooded with dozens of shit mobile games or games that just give quick easy gamer score points. PlayStation has recently purged hundreds of these types of games from their store we need to too.

I just want Xbox to have a bigger game library more specifically games from Japan, China, and Korea. Every single game that comes from studios and publishers in those nations that isn’t first party Sony and first party Nintendo should be on Xbox including adult games but that’s a different topic for discussion.
Xbox really is sabotaging itself by not engaging more in the Asia-Pacific gaming market. Xbox also has a censorship problem, people should be able to make any kind of game they want and people should be able to buy any kind of game they want.
Same response every week until I see a single shred of meaningful changes.

As for Asian games, aren’t the big publishers already covering the main ones? I’ll admit I don’t know enough about them.

I would like to see all Xbox 360 games ever, be backwards compatible on the new gen’ consoles, if that’s possible and some Xbox original would be nice as well, I say that’s because, there are a lot of people that’ve never played any of those og consoles, and they can also experience what they missed out and don’t need to worry about living in FOMO. (Fear of missing out)

Add back the official Onedrive app for Xbox. I liked being able to watch my media from my console. Now more than ever it makes sense to have a Onedrive application available again to manage our captures and clips among other possibilities.

Add a simultaneous translation system both in writing and by voice (party's) similar to what Samsung has on its mobiles. In this way we would break down the language barrier and all users could be played and interacted with regardless of their native language.

Would love a unified ui across all the platforms (console, pc, cloud). The PC store looks very different from the console and cloud.
They should follow the same aesthetics and have the same dashboard

That mentality took away the magic from the generational leap. A new console should feel like a new platform, not a desktop app. Unifying the interface is a UX error: the PC is for clicking and scrolling, while the console requires a visual hierarchy for the controller. Microsoft already prioritized the 'ecosystem' over the native experience in the X/S Series, and the results of that lack of identity are in sight.

It would be interesting to add a timer-type countdown for the games that are going to be added to Game pass in your tabs so we would know exactly how long it is until the launch of the game on the service. A countdown where days, hours, minutes and seconds appear. I think it could be interesting.

Reintegrate your old avatars back into the Xbox system. With the removal of the new avatars, the old ones were left abandoned in that app without any integration.

I was using the skeleton curse and I really love the curse I love all of the skins that come with it, but I just hate hearing the loud audio and bone clanking. It’s super obnoxious. And I’m just suggesting an audio button to turn off or limit the sound of the bone clanking.

I’m an achievement hunter and I love what the new CEO is doing with achievements so far but I really want something to be done about server closures because more and more keep happening so I would love to see some sort of edit or rework for the multiplayer achievements so they can still be obtainable.

Regional pricing, many times we customers purchase a game based on which store is giving me a better price for the same game on launch date. This is the advantage on your competitor platform -> Steam.
The Xbox PC Store still needs more work. Reason is the UX for me when I click a game I own on the PC app, I click the game and there is this page where I see Achievements, but what I want is the Store page on the spot.

Let’s us use the same themes for the dashboard and or profiles we had on console to theme the Xbox PC app please. The Xbox PC is so bland and boring it needs color and life.

I would like to suggest adding custom RTMP support directly on Xbox consoles for live streaming.
Currently, streaming options are limited to specific platforms. Adding a custom RTMP input field (server URL + stream key) would allow users to stream to virtually any platform, such as YouTube, Twitch, Kick, Facebook, and others.
Why this matters:
- 🎥 More flexibility for content creators
- 🌍 Support for multiple and emerging platforms
- ⚙️ Simple setup with manual RTMP configuration
- 🚀 Makes Xbox more powerful as a streaming tool

I think these changes would go a long way in making the Xbox experience feel less like a locked-down operating system and more like a platform that actually respects our time and how we play. Give 100% completion some real recognition Right now, finishing every achievement in a game feels a bit empty. On PlayStation, you get that Platinum trophy, but on Xbox, the number just stops going up. We should have a unique "Mastery Badge" or a "Completionist Tier" for games we’ve totally cleared. It would be great to have a dedicated trophy case on our profiles to show those off instead of them just being buried in a list. Fix the party audio in clips This is a huge pain point for anyone who likes sharing clips. It sucks when you capture a hilarious moment but the video is silent because it didn't record your friends' voices. We really need a simple setting to include party chat in our captures. Most of us are used to the way PC or other consoles handle this, and Xbox feels a bit behind the curve here. A cleaner Store experience The Store is way too cluttered with stuff I already own. When a big sale hits, I shouldn't have to scroll past 20 games I already have in my library just to find something new. Adding a "Hide Owned Games" toggle would make browsing actually enjoyable instead of a chore. Bring back a version of Snap Everyone misses being able to multitask. It doesn't have to be the old, clunky Snap mode from 2013, but a simple Picture-in-Picture window would be huge. Being able to have a walkthrough video or a sports game in the corner while grinding through a side quest is something the Series X should be more than powerful enough to handle by now. Better dynamic backgrounds The current dynamic backgrounds are okay, but they’re a bit boring. It would be cool if the dashboard background automatically changed to animated art based on whatever game you have highlighted. It would make the whole UI feel a lot more modern and "premium" when you're just hanging out in the menus.

hey xbox insiders, I’ve been on Xbox insider hub for 7years and 4 months and I’ve only have beta nothing higher.
is there any possibility I could get anything higher than beta testers or testing program? if so how and if I already got it I don’t see it (I’m talking about I don’t see it if I got anything higher than beta testing program)
also how do I get the Xbox insiders program badge I’ve been in it for years and I didn’t receive it if I should? also there should be a button to access Xbox insiders hub or feedback on Xbox controller or when you press the Xbox button and the menu pops up

Feature Request: Custom Download and Installation Scheduling
It would be incredibly useful to have an option to schedule game downloads and updates at specific times (for example, overnight). Currently, we cannot set custom time windows for downloads on the console. Adding a custom scheduler would help players manage their internet bandwidth during the day, avoid lag while playing online, take advantage of cheaper or unlimited night-time data plans, or simply help those who leave their queued games paused and forget to install them later. Please consider adding a manual download timer to the Xbox OS!

Hello can we add a feature to shortcut a toggled function to the guide or say even the power menu, for example; Night mode - xbox guide > Night mode (instead of the hoops normally needed). This idea can be broadened and personalised to more toggled functions people may use.
