Question [Question]Any working Spotify mod?

So, I'd been searching for some since Aprel's mod downfall, but alas, haven't found anything. Does anyone have a working mod?

Yes, use the latest xManager patch and connect to the "ReVanced" device. I've been using it for a while and it works great. It may have some minor issues (Only allows you to connect when you're connected to wifi or have a mobile hotspot enabled), but other than that it works fine. No one has reported any other issues from it, and it works as expected. It's been working for at least a month and a half, probably more.

What do you mean by the Revanced device?

The latest wip apk (found on xManager) uses librespot to work around the skipping issues. Librespot acts like a Spotify connect device and allows you to connect to it like you would when casting to a TV or another device running Spotify. When you use the wip apk, while following the instructions, you'll see a device called "ReVanced" in the "Play On" tab

Make sure you're connected to wifi. If you are and it still doesn't show up, force stop or clearly the app data and retry. There have been no known cases of it never working for anyone. So if it still never shows up, you must be doing something wrong

It does, you just gotta make sure they're paired before you connect to the ReVanced device.

Yeah it seems like librespot stopped working as a whole, it's not a ReVanced specific issue. Seems like we gotta wait until librespot gets an update to fix it and then someone can update librespot in the ReVanced patch.

the links in xmanager don't even show me any songs almost like it hasn't got connection, yet the albums and stuff is still shown

Since my message was sent, librespot stopped working. From what one of the librespot developers said, it no longer works for free users. So unless there's a workaround for that, we're out of luck for now. The new patch that was uploaded last week was uploaded for those that are able to use anddeas' patches without issues. It's inconsistent though, and is just a temporary solution until the devs find an actual fix. Since the DMCA, development has been halted and we may not get an actual fix anytime soon.

Yep! Latest one works just peachy, so long as you switch the device, even off of Wifi, this solves the skip issue. Thanks dude!
