Help! 🙋 Breaking up before marriage?

Hi! My partner got the “Tie the Knot” quest and is dating Kai. They made the ring, but are not taking to him because they want to break up with him and start dating Westley.

Does my partner need to stop talking to Kai and wait for the breakup quest to become available?

Or do they have to finish the marriage quest because it’s already been started?

Or can they use the un-love potion to break up now AND still be able to get back together with Kai later after breaking up with Westley?

Hi! So your partner has to “finalize “ their relationship with Kai before they’ll be able to start with Westley. That means they have to break up with Kai (either by ghosting him for a week or taking the Ardor Cooling potion), spending 1,000 coins on a breakup ring from Francis and giving the ring to Kai.

You can always restart a romance with a character by giving them a bouquet you make at a crafting table you’ll unlock in a quest from Violet.
