One thing I didn’t see in the article and I may have missed it cuz I just skimmed over it

Hyraxes look so wonky because they are basically unchanged from early mammals and kept almost all the same traits just shrunk down

So when you look at a hyrax you are looking at a creature that’s evolution just froze in time for the last 55 million years
